TLDR: Waited 30 minutes for a breakfast sandwich, that an employee had eaten.
My sister and I decided to try the Busy Bean Cafe this past Sunday as our favorite local cafe, Tree Town Cafe was closed, boy did we regret that. We walked in and ordered two large iced coffees, a muffin, and a breakfast sandwich our total was $28 and change, pretty outrageous if you ask me but I paid the girl and we went and sat to wait for our order. Our coffees came out in about five minutes, only one had ice in it and mine didn't have the requested syrup but we fixed them ourselves at their condiment bar. It was another 10 minutes and we saw the gentleman whom had ordered right before us get his food so we were likely up next. Another five minutes went by and we saw a worker walking over to us with a sandwich, that was the exact one we had ordered, but she sat down at a table and began eating it, I figured it was her 'shift meal' or whatever they call it, and I thought nothing more of it. Then the people who ordered after us got their food. I went up to the counter and asked the middle-aged woman with black hair if we knew if our sandwich would be out soon, mind you it had been 20 minutes at this point, she rolled her eyes and assured me 'they're workin on it', I accepted that answer and went and sat back down for another five minutes to pass. When two more orders came out that were placed after ours and our sandwich was nowhere in site I got suspicious. I went back up to the counter and asked a different girl if she knew where our order was, she actually went and checked in the back and said the only order they had was for a breakfast sandwich that was only put in 10 minutes ago, THE TIME HER COWORKER HAD SAT DOWN TO EAT, I pointed out to her that she had seen us over there waiting for clearly longer than 10 minutes she just shrugged and said "I don't know what to tell you." The sandwich came out shortly after that and we promptly left.
I personally think it's absolutely ridiculous for an employee to take a customers food, let alone for a sandwich to take over 10 minutes regardless. But if that is what you look for in a dining experience this is the place for you.
Response from owner couldn't even find my transaction, very organized over there. And I DID give your employees every opportunity to make things right, they fell short all...
Read moreI’ve been going to the busy bean cafe in Victor for a few years now and absolutely love that location. Always perfect food orders, drinks, friendly service etc.. I do however live closer to this location and have tried it out a few times since openings. The drinks have always been good from here. I realize cooks are different, but essentially it’s a very similar menu as the Victor location if not the same but somehow the food orders here always get messed up, is missing something, or I find something in it. Again, I absolutely love the busy bean in Victor but I don’t know what’s up with this location. I’m going to keep coming for coffee and maybe occasionally get food and give it another chance, but I’ve never had to throw away food before for it being completely inedible. On top of that when I brought up my concern the staff member working made a snarky comment back and blamed me and said there was nothing wrong with the food. I’m not the type of person to ever bring up anything as it’s really outside of my comfort zone, so getting the harsh response back that I got made me feel worse. You guys need to figure out what’s going on in the kitchen or those that make the food and make sure your staff members are not being disrespectful to customers. I really love busy bean but this experience is making me think twice. I’ll change my review in the future if overtime I see...
Read moreThe ratings sure didn’t match our experience. The cappuccino froth was acceptable, but the espresso tasted like day old diner coffee that had been burning away in a Bunn coffee carafe that hadn’t been cleaned in months. We have never had espresso that was so bitter and burnt. We also had the biscuit and gravy with eggs that others raved about. It was awful. I’m from the mid-west and have eaten my fair share of biscuits and gravy. This biscuit is basically a dense, dull Pillsbury biscuit covered in an extremely salty sausage gravy made with a poor quality, mushy and tasteless sausage. The scrambled eggs were dry layers ( ? ) of egg that must have been mixed in a liquid to make them so thin on the griddle, and were almost tasteless. We were left wondering if these were some type of powdered, instant egg that you might add water to. We are absolutely never going back. We packed 1/2 of the meal up to give to our dog - after rinsing the gravy off the sausage. We went straight to the Ugly Duck to get a fine cappuccino to rid the lingering taste out of our mouths and took a couple Tums to ease our queazy stomachs. Sorry, but this meal was...
