With Aldi around I will never step foot in Price Chopper again. Instead of paying high prices (to lazily let someone else bag my groceries and offer to walk it to my car), I bring reusable bags and bag the food I intend to eat, myself. The few items they don't have I pick up at Shop Rite or Hannaford. I can afford organic food shopping at Aldi's, and STILL pay less than I would for non-organic, generic-label from another store (can you imagine?). And that's with NO coupons (they don't take them) The store is also not dated, as another reviewer said. It's clean and functional; I don't visit to have a party or live there. It suffices and the staff is pleasant and paid well (which is important to me; slave wages are not something I support). I've been going four times a month for years and always enjoy chatting with the staff. p.s. Don't let the prices fool you. Their baking ingredients and yogurt..many items are better than the most expensive from elsewhere. If you don't agree, they will give you your money back AND...
Read moreAt Aldi’s Glen Street location, the restroom is as no-nonsense as the store itself: clean lines, gray tile, and not a single scrap of trash in sight. It’s the kind of bathroom that doesn’t try to impress you — it just gets the job done, efficiently and without fuss.
The urinal mat adds a splash of color, the baby changing station stands ready for duty, and the sink delivers water with the kind of velocity that feels more like a brief interrogation than a gentle rinse. Pressure: enthusiastic. Duration: stingy.
Otherwise, the space is spotless and functional — no sticky floors, no paper pileups, no unpleasant surprises. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a grocery store chain that prides itself on simplicity.
Verdict: 4 out of 5 Golden Plungers — clean, functional, and forgettable. Points off for the over-eager sink, but otherwise...
Read moreI do most of the shopping for our house and try to buy healthy ingredients and food. Went to Aldi's for the first time a couple weeks ago with my wife and other than the long line to check out I liked the experience and food. Today's trip started out good, but didn't find ingredients that were "low or no salt" added items, than means that I have to stop at Hannaford or Price Chopper for those ingredients. Then when I got to the register there were only two open registers with people making lines almost to the door and ice cream freezer. I see why Small kids were screaming and crying. I put away my meats and abandoned the shopping experience to go back to what cost a...
