It is the most beautiful and peaceful place. It is my dogs favorite place in the world, I've had some really special days there with her. There is always many people and their dogs there and all owners ive come into contact with have been responsible pet owners as far as leashes and cleaning up after the dog. People without dogs to walk and play go to have lunch, picnic or a walk. The park has picnic tables, many Adirondack chairs, benches, gazebos and a little playground for kids. The "staff" (I think they may be volunteers) keep everything so clean and pretty. The flowers in the summer are spectacular! And the colors in the fall are wonderful. There is always wildlife to look at and I've learned many new things from the information boards they put up. It is a must see if your in the area, the one tiny downfall is there isn't a restroom; besides that I cannot say enough good things about it!!!! No

This park has so much to offer for the size. Forefront has a playground and tables for families. As you pass that you come to a garden with paths to see all the natural plants from the area. Then you come to a platform that juts out over the pond where you may find kids fishing. Walking around the pond 4 times will complete a mile but there is another path, boardwal style, that takes you into the swampier part of the pond to indulge in the plants and creatures who reside there. Along the roadside of the pond is halfway brook, used for centuries by the local indigenous people, and then for the white man, who traverse it up into the lower hills of the Adirondacks on the way to Fort Ticonderoga. Just sit a spell. It enchants you.

The pond is fantastic, always has been a beautiful little treasure! Gorgeous gardens all around, and a great little getaway to check out the local aquatic life. The new freedom park is a little less exciting than its predecessor. There's much less to do, far less for those with different abilities, and one small table everyone hovers around for shade under the only tree large enough to cast a shadow. It's clean, soft on the grounds, and shiny as it's brand new, but it's a quick stop on the way through, rather than a destination. We were very excited about playing at the new addition, but it feels a bit of a let down. My two year old had nothing for her entertainment except running up and down the ramp a few times. She loved the old Freedom...

Love the pond area! It was so peaceful to walk around. Unfortunately the new playground is pretty boring. It’s great that it’s handicap accessible but the large looking playground is mostly just ramps and steps and there just a few slides and a climbing wall and then a separate swing set. Seems like a waste for how much time and money was probably put into it. My son loved the old playground better. Also they need to put a canopy or something over it because there is zero shade and the slides and equipment were burning hot and it was only 70 degrees out. Most of the kids were complaining of this and it seemed like all the kids were just running around the ground playing tag or something because they didn’t want to use the hot...
