We've come here multiple times without an issue but after today not sure we will ever go back. They were super busy which at 6pm on a Saturday is completely understandable but does not excuse poor manners. The older waitress was so incredibly rude I didn't even want to stay (but we did, kids were hungry). 6 of us (2 adults 5 kids aged 17, 11, 10 & 9months) went one way to sit friendly waitress suggested we try the other side as they have bigger tables on that side, perfect right.... WRONG! The only available table over there was dirty (also not a big deal we get it's busy that's fine) we patiently waited as the servers were busy for them to have a chance to clean it off, we were not in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal to wait a few minutes but this older waitress over there immediately started yelling at us in a crowded dinning room that we CAN NOT sit at a dirty table, that table isn't clean you can't sit there you'll have to go find a table on the other side. When my husband very politely told her the waitress on the other side sent us over here she got even more irritated with us. She huffed and repeated that we couldn't sit at a dirty table and we would have to wait until they were able to clean it off because they were super busy and we can't sit at a dirty table. Mind you not one member of our party had sat down yet at this point we were all still just standing there as she is yelling about us not sitting. After another couple minutes another waitress comes over and starts cleaning off the table and this other lady comes over and says here have a try as she literally flings it on to the table at her and says I'll be back to help clean this off after I'm done getting drinks. Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service and poor mannerisms from a server. We are literally quiet tidy people we just have a large family and this woman made me so upset I hardly ate and will most likely never go back to this resturant. Food is fine nothing fabulous but more than adequate but I'd rather eat elsewhere and not feel like I'm a 5 year old being scolded in front of a packed resturant dining room. Maybe time to retire if you're unable to be pleasant when it's literally your job. She did attempt to he nice after the fact but too little too late the damage was done. Especially since once the table was clean and we did finally sit she then complained that there was only 6 of us (5 and a car seat) at a table meant for more than that when the literal only other tables open in the entire restaurant were for 4 people. Not sure what she wanted us to do other than leave or sit on the damn floor. Unbelievably...
Read moreMost of the foods was decent. My bbq drumstick was dry. Found a few bad spring lettuce and regular lettuce in my salad. Clam chowder was pretty good. What troubled me, was the discrimination. The staff told a group of people they couldn't move tables do to a "fire Hazard" but another set of folks came in and moved the very same tables and the staff said nothing to them. I don't like to pull the R card. But this was just that. Same tables and same amount of people in the families. However one family was allowed to do with the other wasn't. To add to it I ordered water for my drink and others in my group ordered sodas. Our table seemed to be avoided but others around us were promptly serviced on the regular. We tried setting out empty cups at the edge of the table and still were ignored. To the point where we'd had to chase waiters down when they went to refill the surrounding tables. Just to get a refill. 😔 We digressed as we normally do in these weird situations. And we still tipped as is they did a wonderful job. And they treated us as they did others in our section. I probably won't be returning to this location again. I have no interest in spending money where I'm not wanted. As I'm killing you with kindness. I can't stand when people pull the race card. But this was a full example of the privilege. Funny thing is it's ok to let foriegn folks work for your company. But you don't respect those very same folks as customers even when their paying the sane price as the "privileged" folks. Im just glad I was able to enjoy my family that I haven't seen in a long time. I'm annoyed we tipped big despite being ignored the entire time. Watching the privilege be catered on hand n foot in our section. I know where I'm NOT wanted. So for the servers I will not be returning. But the line workers were pretty informative and transparent. Our 1st waitress brought 3 of 4 drinks and we never saw her again. Another waitress took over for her when I explained to her while trying to get my 2nd cup of water that she must've been busy. Because she never came to bring my 4th drink or pick up plates. Trust I felt like the tip should've been 10 at the most. But we tipped 20 despite being ever so patient and not getting refills and having to ask when we caught waitresses in the refill station to get service😔😔😩😩🥴🥴 again I'll never go to this location as a black person. Maybe we just caught the only racist as a server. The lady that took over was much better. And...
Read moreWent here on a weekday , this was our first visit to a Golden Corral so we weren't sure how things worked. The young man at the register "Isaiah " was so kind and explained how the buffet experience works..
We went ahead and grabbed our plates after paying, the food selection was great..but the hot foods was not hot, rather warm some even cold..the server at the steak/ribs area was not attentive and we stood a few minutes before she finally attended to us..upon her placing the steak on my plate I said thank you. She did not respond.
We went ahead sat down our waitress "Alysha" came over and placed her card on the table did not even say anything ..our plates began piling and she never removed them off of our table nor did she offer any drink refills.."Alysha" was a HORRIBLE server! If it weren't for "Isaiah" (at the register) explaining how things work we would've remained unassisted..
The service was not what it should be, also the hot foods should be hot!! I hope the owner sees this review and provides further training to his employees on customer service skills, and service etiquette, food handling etc....also please make sure foods are appropriate temperature!! And fix choclate ice cream machine which was out of service!!
"Isaiah's" kindness is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars! Otherwise our experience...
