Northern Wardens — Local services in Town of Queensbury

I've never felt more unwelcome in a retail environment. Seems every time I stop by they either aren't open when they're supposed to be, or the owners are too busy playing games themselves to run their own business. I personally and a few people I've spoken too have all shared similar experiences. Like walking in and standing by the register waiting for 15 minutes if not longer waiting for the owners, who are usually the only staff, to stop playing their game to cash us out which in my opinion is absolutely unacceptable.

Of the three owners running both locations I've only had passable experiences with one of them. And don't get me started on bad trade in prices. Every time I've sold my models to this place I feel like I've gotten absolutely ripped off. Including when they tried selling me half of a pre-owned model for $100. Plus multiple times walking in with my kids at the Lake George location and one of the owners left their drug paraphernalia out on a table or a counter.

Overall extremely unprofessional business and I'm shocked that they've stayed in business this long with how things are ran. I can't in good faith recommend anybody...

Stopped in for the first time looking for MtG cards to finish a deck and to browse Pokemon singles. The store is kinda cramped, but they have a fair selection of tabletop miniatures, various tcg supplies, and binders to look through.

The guy I spoke to behind the counter (I didn't catch his name) was friendly, accommodating, and transparent about which sites they use to price their cards. They didn't have anything I went in looking for, but I did pick up a couple cheap cards and a Pokemon single he was willing to recheck the price on, which is mostly what prompted this review. In my experience, shops like these generally don't budge from tagged prices unless the difference is massive compared to current market prices.

I'm not in the area very often, but I'd come here again if I was looking for...

Colby below me, shh. This place is amazing and yes the owners do play games with their guest. And we love it. Super funny and informative owner. He sold me my first precon a few months ago, and taught me some rules and I've been addicted to magic since. All the people who come and play are fun and I played commander for 5 hours without realizing how long it's been. He also prices cards and buys cards infront of you using current market prices on tcg player. Over all the best card shop in the queensbury/south glens falls area. Come here bro if you got that mtg itch (not the same itch...
