Daifuku - Hibachi Sushi — Restaurant in Town of Queensbury

What an incredible experience we had here today! My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner with another couple to celebrate one of their birthdays.

We were blown away by the decor and number of variety of seating options (as shown in the pictures). Absolutely beautiful decor that you honestly wouldn't expect inside a strip mall restaurant.

The employees were all so very pleasant. They even remembered my husband and me from when we dined with them years ago (maybe 10 or more?) at a previous version of the restaurant when it was at a different location. Upon hearing about the birthday, a complimentary dish of ice cream with a candle to blow out was brought out at the end of our meal.

And, finally, the food. 3 of our party (all but me) had sushi and pronounced it delicious. Our friends ordered General Tso and Sesame Chicken (both came with rice), and the portions were definitely sizeable. My husband ordered the Korean BBQ short ribs, and he couldn't stop commenting on how good they were. I tried the sauce and veggies with some rice, and from what I tried, it was really good. I ordered the pork fried rice, and the portion size was Huge!! So delicious as well.

I really feel that this place is a hidden gem; almost no one I know has been here, and we wouldn't have thought to come here if not for our friends. Don't sleep on this one -...

My husband and I love to come to this restaurant! We originally came in tonight. Thinking we were going someplace else and it turned out. It was a new restaurant, but we decided to stay and try it out. Not only it was the food, absolutely stellar, but the service was amazing. We sat at the bar and Davey showed us his knife and how he was doing these really beautiful sculptures. It’s obvious that he has been doing this for a very long time and is an expert. I am in LOVE with the food! My husband and I have been in love with their sushi since the very first time we had it back when it used to be Zou on Bay St. I am so happy to see the incredible reception since the business’s facelift. Tonight I tried the ramen, and it was a HIT! Lots of places in the area try, but nothing beats a real tonkatsu broth. The egg was perfect, the pork belly was just right, and the fish cake tasted lovely too! We stop in as often as we can, and door dash pretty regularly. I’m always going to recommend the volcano roll.
