I'm not really one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but it was our 3 year old birthday, she would have loved the hibachi experience. When we walked in we were asked if we wanted dinning or hibachi and we said hibachi. We were then told we had to order 3 hibachi meals....we said ok fine, can we get sushi here as well? And can one of the meals be a kids meal since our child is 3? The guy that sat us said sure. So then a woman walks back over with the guy that sat us only to shame him in front of us saying he is new and didn't know what he was talking about. It was super awkward. My husband is less than happy at this point, but I said ok fine no problem, we will sit in the dining area (granted we would have happily paid for the "experience" for our daughter, it was just super weird at that point). So we sit in the dining room, there are 2 other tables (that's it!!). Service was so awful I don't even know how to explain it. Our server actually said I forgot what I was saying and ran away and didn't come back for 15 minutes. We ordered probably $150 of food. We got edamame, which was ok and a sushi roll that was incredibly disgusting. At that point I gave up and walked out with our daughter. The woman at the front (the same one that shamed the server in front of us) thanked me for eating there. I informed her we, in fact, did not and please give my husband the bill for the food we were served. I am left in complete awe of the whole experience. It really could not have been...

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Words cannot express the sincere affection I have for not only for the staff but also for the food. I am a serious foodie, A sushi Aficionado. The food here is Consistently delicious ! The service is Superb! I feel like FAMILY every single time I was through the door thanks to Ping, the owner. While there may be a slight language barrier, this woman is the most eager to please and hard working Individual. I have seen this restaurant packed and still received stellar service. Whether I order hibachi, Thai inspired dishes or sushi I am NEVER disappointed. I am so picky and have extremely high standards however, Ping and her staff Have NEVER let me down. Something not to your liking?, ok she remakes it while applying your criticism. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality you receive! I dine here at Every opportunity. I hope you also enjoy. If there is anything less than satisfactory a simple conversation will solve it and they will make it right, I promise you. If you are looking for a wonderful meal with a fabulous experience- this is Definitely...

Japanese restaurants are subtle, subdued, unobtrusive, and attentive to detail. This is the opposite, with very loud dance-like music thumping from speakers above your head, and obnoxiously loud wait staff and owners literally yelling at guests to be heard over the music. All very distracting from what could have been a nice dinner. Add to that a server who couldn't distinguish between a lemon and a lime, a triple-table food mix-up requiring one meal to sit served and getting stale, while waiting an additional 45 minutes for its two companion meals to be prepared (the first meal should also have been refreshed), and a failure to offer even the slightest reduction in charges, and my family will not be returning. Definitely go to Mikado, Siam Thai or one of the others in town before considering this disaster. This restaurant recently moved from it's old, intimate location (where it got great reviews) to a larger place in a strip mall. It's trying too hard, and failing just as...

It is a very nice place to dine. They have hibachi, regular tables, and traditional Japanese tatami seating. Although this is primarily a Japanese steak house, they do serve some Chinese dishes as well. We had some excellent aged fried tofu, steamed shrimp shumai, and fried pork gyoza as appetizers. The wonton soup was a large bowl filled with 8 to 10 wontons. Excellent broth and the wontons had a nice thin exterior instead of the thick doughy version served at mist places. I had a generous portion of shrimp lo mein that featured 10 fresh shrimp. The noodles and sauce had a certain extra something in the flavor, which elevated it above most typical lo main dishes. The hot tea was a burnt rice tea that featured a fair amount of tea leaves and rice in the cup. I really enjoy this kind of tea this way, and it had an excellent flavor and aroma. Highly recommended.

We had reservations for 7p. When we arrived, there was no one at the reservation desk. After waiting 15 minutes, we were asked if our party of 6 were OK sharing the habatchi table. We were then seated next to several seats with dirty dishes for my entire meal (see pic). There was a lot of food on the floor, under my seat. We never received soup or salad. The waitress apologized and said she was busy and trying "to get the job." Our bill was never comped. We paid $30 a dinner, even though we ordered 3 childrens plates and never received soup or salad. Our sauces arrived at the end of the meal. Never was asked for a drink refill. The habatchi chef was great. The food flavor is very good. Service was very sub-par. Check came to $200/3 adults, 3 children. Will never return.

To be fair let me start with a disclaimer, the Japanese food that I’m used to might not be authentic. My tab was $110. For 4 meals like this. The restaurant was clean, we ordered to go so I can’t speak for service, the shrimp appeared to be pre cooked, the soup, I don’t know what to say about the soup. The server got 2 of our orders wrong even though she wrote it down correctly. But I won’t count that against her anyone can make mistake. I won’t be back. But don’t take my word, try it.
