Monsey Glatt Kosher — Local services in Town of Ramapo

Being both a foodie and organic-food person, I tend to do my main grocery shopping at the nearby alternative-food market and health-food stores. But I also keep kosher and therefore rely on the kosher supermarkets to buy meat and poultry, as well as certain other grocery items that can only be found in the kosher grocery stores. Of all the kosher stores in the area, one stands out: Monsey Glatt. While it is a small store and therefore limited in the size of its inventory, it actually happens to have one of the best meat and poultry displays, as well as the nicest staff of all stores in the surrounding area. For example, as a single person, I do not need the large family packs of meat and poultry that are on display, and the staff at Monsey Glatt is happy to repack items for me to suit my needs. They also make themselves readily available to answer questions regarding their products, from storage to cooking. The staff in the other departments are similarly helpful and friendly, especially in the produce department, where I am always greeted with a hello and a smile. I also find the people who work in the office wonderful – there were several occasions when I needed assistance, and despite being very busy, these people took the time out to help me and did not rush me. They also agreed to look into the possibility of carrying some of my other food staples, as it is easier and much more convenient to shop in a smaller store and I would love to give them more of...

Recently renovated, they really have upped their game. The store is pleasant to shop at, with spacious aisles. The produce is fresh and good quality. The staff are helpful and accommodating. They are well stocked but if they do not have some product are very welcoming of the advice to stock additional items. The meat however is their forté! They have the best quality and freshest meat around, along with a deli counter with wide variety of prepared meat. The in-house bakery is also very enticing...

The store offers a wide selection of kosher products, from fresh produce to meats, dairy, and bakery items. The shelves are well-stocked, and I was able to find everything I needed.

The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the shopping experience more enjoyable. The prices were reasonable for the quality of products offered.
