xAltered & Dead Ends — Local services in Town of Salina

xAltered is a safe, inclusive, and warm shop in a building of other locally owned small businesses. The moment you walk into the boutique, you’re greeted with smiles and welcome wishes from the staff/owner. As a millennial who was a self-proclaimed “bubble gum pink” teen, I never really got into punk/emo/alt music or clothing but when I tell you that xAltered STILL brought me nostalgia and comfort, I mean it. Their vast array of jewelry, novelty socks, stickers by indie artists, and queer-inclusionary clothing options guarantee that you’ll find something to make you smile.

Also— I cannot wait to bring my family from out of town to their boutique. From my first visit, it easily became a staple on my “what to do in CNY” list...

This is such a fun store to shop in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The items are really good quality and the pricing is fair. They have a really spacious changing room to try things on. Sometimes, as a plus size person, boutiques can feel a little crowded or intimidating and I didn't have that problem here. There was plenty of space to walk around, I found clothing items that would fit (although the largest size I noted was a 3x), and the staff didn't make me feel awkward for checking out the clothes or looking for bigger sizes. I wound up getting the cutest bat plushie, a keychain, magnet, and hoodie. And they gave me a free sticker. I can't wait to shop there again and definitely...

I love this boutique! The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and are just really cool people 😎 The selection is really fantastic -- they've got great graphic tees, clothes, funky socks, tons of stickers, plushies, and more! I personally left with a t-shirt, a skeleton cat plushie, shorts, and some socks, but would have bought everything if I could have! Highly recommend -- check it out! I felt very comfortable and supported here -- shopping for clothes can feel uncomfortable, but not at all here. Good vibes, all around! I will definitely be returning...
