Visited Montano's for the third time today and let's just say my experience was just as good as the first time. The staff treats you like family and the service you get is top notch. I have been here 3 times in the last 4 months. My first visit I was looking for boots for work. They sat me down measured my foot and brought out exactly the boot I needed. It fit great and I have recommended them to coworkers. I brought my wife in a few weeks later and got the same great service. Today I went in and I was looking for a hiking boot. I tried on a pair of Merrells and bought them. They have a wide selection to choose from and their prices might be a little bit more but its worth it for the great service they provide. If you need some new foot attire stop in and check them out.
8/22 Once again Montanos does not disappoint. I just wanna say the staff at your store is amazing. They make you feel like a king or queen. For the life of me I cannot remember the ladies name that helped me she has been there for 21 years. We have gotten shoes here several times and will continue to come back. I bought a pair of redwing 607s and a pair of Hoka sneakers. I always tell everyone how awesome you guys are there and the service is like no other. I tell them. You will get service like you would see All Bundy giving. One on one and she was also awesome with my son. Think local first. The prices here are competitive and I promise you will not find a better place to buy shoes. Don't go looking for Nikes they sell only the best and I now know Nike is not as comfortable as my Hokas....
Read moreThey didn't want my business. Not worth going to. I needed a pair of good work shoes preferably boots. They had nothing for me according to staff. I did landscaping professionally for 10 years and required good gear. I went in there dirty after work with a few hundred dollars burning a whole in my pocket. They pulled a 'pretty woman' on me and said something like we don't have anything here that will fit you. I did a few laps in a small store and no one approached me. When I asked for help they immediately turned me away. I wear a 7 womens or boys 5 or 5 1/2. Maybe they don't carry basic shoe sizes or want to help women. Maybe they don't like money. I try to shop local partly for quality customer service but this store seemed to not understand helping customers or basic courtesy. I worked in retail seasonally for years and wouldn't treat anyone so rudely. I'm leaving two stars instead of one only because this shop is an older local spot and I hope they have success and better practices than when I went. Needless to say I found quality leather work / logging boots with vibram soles elsewhere (kenco). Kenco, Harley Davidson, also there was a great leather shop on Rte 32...I suggest anywhere else. I will never go there again. Now I have a nice boot collection no thanks to Montanos. Too bad they weren't nicer. My spouse loves Redwing boots but I can get them online without...
Read moreBought a pair of Georgia slip ons for work (tried 3 different brands) I liked the way they felt. They were tight and told the sales girl that they were tight and she assured me that they will break in nice. So fast forward about 1.5 months of me wearing them around town for errands and walking around the block with them on to break them in and loosen them up. (I never wear brand new boots on my job site till their loosened up a little I work construction). But 1.5 months pass and the things are still incredibly tight so I go to your store talk to the woman working the register and tell her the story and she says sorry no refund or exchange as you have worn them!!! I was upset but figured hey atleast I got back up boots and figure if I continue wearing them they should break in hopefully. But fast forward to last Thursday (a year later) I wear them to a concert in Kingston and about halfway through the show I can barely stand because these things are still so insanely tight. Long story short I paid around 200 dollars for work boots that suck and now I’m out the 200 dollars and have a pair of still in perfect condition that...
