Shale Hill catered and staffed a cocktail party I recently hosted at my home in Rhinebeck and from start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. The harvest table they prepared was beautifully presented and everything was delicious -- we particularly couldn't get enough of the whipped feta! The whole team was a dream to work with leading up to the event and Lisa, our bartender and event manager on the day, did an amazing job setting up and anticipating the needs during the party and was warm and friendly with our guests. I wish I could give this catering group a better review. In April, we went to The Dutch to preview the food for our son and daughter in laws wedding. Food was amazing then. We couldn’t wait to eat that delicious food. Unfortunately the day of the wedding the chef must have been out because the main meal was undercooked, so much went uneaten. Yes we should have complained then, but it was a wedding with too many moving parts. Just be aware what they tell you bc that’s not the way things turned out. I can not say enough good things about Shale Hill! We were so upset when we had to find a new caterer just a few weeks before our wedding, but it was all meant to be! Brianne was so so kind and responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed The team used the kitchen in our VRBO so that we didn’t have to rent equipment. They went above and beyond and cut our cake and made sure we had so much extra support! Everyone was raving about the food - especially the salmon and beet salad - and we ended up eating our leftovers...
