ALDI — Local services in Town of Smithtown

Hey is this actually open?? Seems I was mistaken when I wrote this : Finally, I get around to writing my review, and this ALDI is already closed. It did not last very long at this location.

I was disappointed at the small selection of goods at this small market. It would appear, since it closed soon after, that a lot of people were similarly disappointed with their shopping experience.

I have to compare it to my very favorable experience at the ALDI in Darmstadt, Germany last year. The two stores had a similar feel to them. Produce and products were arrayed on table and shelves, extremely plain and unadorned. However, I really enjoyed my visits to the German ALDI. The selection of food and other products was larger and the quality was MUCH better in Germany.

Prices were very good at both stores in the US...

I like shopping here for certain items but the check out is the worst in the business. They always don't have enough cashiers and the Aldi logic is to train their cashier to blitzkrieg your food items at record place from check out counter to a shopping cart. After expressing my displeasure on how the wunder kind( so not) was not respecting my food items, he seem to not care. He just continue to rush the transaction at all cost. Had to express my displeasure a second time with no response, except with a robotic unintelligent look. This experience has happen many times before. Aldi, this may work in Europe but this is the United Sates of America, Americans expect better! Please have more respect for your customers and the items they...

I love going to Aldi. The amount of money I've saved grocery shopping is amazing. It has become my go to grocery store. I wish it was open later, because then I usually have to go somewhere else, but I usually go food shopping during the day.

The price on chicken breast alone is well worth it. And the store brand items they carry taste just as good, if not better, than the name brand. What would normally cost hundreds of dollars, costs half or less that at Aldi.

With 1 income we have to live on a budget and this place helps me...
