If I could give zero stars, I would! This is pertaining to the victor store. The suit we picked out for the best man and groomsman was discontinued when they went to get fitted, which alone was annoying because we just picked it out a couple months prior. How is is all of a sudden discontinued. Ok, no big deal. The only other grey suits they had were much lighter and we had 2 options so really not much of an option and definitely not what we wanted. So I said whatever I dont care anymore. So I didn't think to note down what style and brand it was. Tonight I realized I needed to know because we need to get a child suit and want to match it as close as possible. So I call the Victor store and spoke to Tom to ask what they style and brand was. Tom asked me for a group number which I didn't know it but was told prior we could give our names and it could be looked up that way. He couldn't find it with either of our names and wedding date. I said would you like me to spell out names, maybe you spelled them wrong. He said I know how to spell! And proceeded to spell my last name. I said well its in the system, all the guys have been fitted. Tom says "you should know what the style is if the guys have already been fitted." I lost it at that point! And as I was laying into him about why I don't know what the style is, he continued to try to speak over me! He also stated "im trying to do this quick because I was just about to clock out before answering the phone." Then why did you answer it if you weren't going to provide good customer service. I said I would like to speak to a manager because I don't like the way you are speaking to me. I asked him what his name was and he said "Tom. Like I told you at the beginning of the call." I spoke to the manager who wouldn't even acknowledge what i had to say about how Tom spoke to me. The manager did text me a picture of the suit so I at least have the color to match but I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service. If suits weren't already paid for, I'd go somewhere else. And I sure won't be doing business...
Read morePeople are nice, tux pants and jacket fit well, but very expensive. The vest was size small and I still had to tighten it all the way, which looked funny from the back. Weird, since my son is a 30" waist. Had nothing in stock other than swatches, other the vest and tie in a different color, for us to verify exactly what we were renting. They ordered the wrong (cream instead of black) color shirt. I would have accepted white, but the cream looked dingy. Nothing in stock to switch out. Gave me a dirty black shirt (obviously worn where the wrinkles were and that was way too big for my son) from the store room. The gentleman said this was all he could do for me. They did not give me the cream colored shirt that came with the tux. I had to wash it and iron it myself, and it melted due to my ironing error. I returned it, and there was a different person there, of course, and he didn't care that I didn't have a shirt with it when I told him the cream shirt was at the store somewhere.
I rented a kids tux 5+ years ago from Syracuse location. They were very nice to my nervous 11 year old so I decided to use them again, but that time, I did not have to see exactly what we were renting since it was for a wedding and the groom picked it, so I was unaware that they had little to show people. It was nice that the wedding was in NYC but we could rent locally, but after this, i will not rent...
Read moreI recently had a rather disheartening experience with Men's Wearhouse in Victor, NY. My intention was to attend a significant family wedding, for which I rented a tuxedo from this location. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances involving my son falling ill with a stomach bug, I was unable to attend the event. Consequently, the rented tuxedo remained unopened and unused.
In light of these events, I approached the staff at Men's Wearhouse, hoping for some understanding or a gesture of goodwill, such as a discount or a store coupon for future use. This seemed reasonable to me, considering the situation was completely out of my control and the garment was returned untouched.
To my disappointment, the staff, particularly a female employee with whom I interacted, was unyielding and showed no flexibility or empathy towards my situation. My request for even a minimal concession was outright denied.
This experience has left a sour taste, and it is disheartening to see a lack of customer compassion in situations that clearly warrant it. I had hoped for a more customer-centric approach from a reputed brand like Men's Wearhouse. Due to this experience, I am inclined to take my business elsewhere in the future. It's a regrettable outcome, not just for me but potentially for the store as well, as customer loyalty...
