Michaels — Local services in Town of Victor

Upon entering the store to return some unused items, I had a disappointing encounter with Katie, the store manager. She accused me of using unopened cookie boxes and a stain on a new box, which was completely untrue. Despite my explanation, she continued to be rude and insistent. To make matters worse, she claimed some of my items were not on the receipt because she forgot to scan them. I calmly requested for her to rescan them, but she gave me attitude and argued that she had already scanned them. After persisting, she rescanned the items and found that they were indeed missing. It was a frustrating experience with Katie's poor customer service, and it has made me reconsider shopping at Michael's in the future. I love michaels but the cashier Christine is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Twice now I’ve had her as my cashier and both times she was just unpleasant. This time was worse than the last. I had an exchange and needed it on a separate transaction and she said “you can’t figure it out for yourself later?” It wasn’t so much what she said it was how she said it. As a worker it is your job to process exchanges and returns I don’t shop and spend my hard earned money to figure out exchange transactions myself, I do not work for michaels. I’m a customer. I love this place. It always smell nice and not like craft glue or something weird which is always a good thing. It has all the art supplies you could ever need, model cars, canvases, paints, diorama pieces, and plenty of other things. I have some friends who are really into art things and because I don't want to get them something they already have, I just get them a $20 gift card so they can buy what they want.
