This store is overpriced, rude employees, and only allows store credit for a return which is some cases is understandable, but not for my situation today. I was in with my mom and found this bag I wanted with a tag that said $24.99, my mom went up to the register with that bag and a couple other things. Come to find out after the transaction was complete the bag was 149.99 + the 24.99!!! A tag was inside the bag with a price of 149.99 so all you could see was the 24.99 which was only for the strap as the employees said. I realized all of these before even leaving the store and asked if I could return it, even though they only give store credit, I didn’t even leave the store yet and they refused to let me get refunded for the bag. While shopping I could hear the manager in the back, but everytime I asked for the manager the employees said “he stepped out for a minute”. I would have NEVER purchased this bag if I knew it was nearly $200. I went back into the store about 15 minutes later again asking for the manager and explaining I did not see the tag inside I assumed the tag on the outside of the bag was the price. The employee was extremely rude and goes “we weren’t hiding tags you can clearly see there are 2 tags” and pulls out the tag inside the bag. Rude is actually an under statement. Bfree takes advantage of tourists and locals of this town with their outrageous prices. What kind of manager would refuse to step into this situation & how can you not issue a refund when said customer didn’t even leave the store yet. I’m so upset by this whole situation. As soon as you wanted to return something the employees attitudes completely changed and were rude and impossible to deal with. I’ve worked in retail, I get it customers can be overbearing and mean at times, but I just wanted a refund for a bag I was under the impression was 24.99 instead of 149.99 & I didn’t even leave the store yet! I have also heard horror stories of the manager telling people to get off their couch, telling young girls they weren’t allowed to try stuff on because they “couldn’t afford it” meanwhile their parents were meeting them there.
Absolutely disgusting. This is the first review I’ve ever left on anything. Truly disappointing experience. Don’t waste your time at that store giving them money for their overpriced clothing you can buy legit...
Read moreI have been a customer at BFree for a number of years with my wife. We find their inventory very diverse with many beautiful items at various price points that we have purchased over the years. I consider myself and my wife patrons of this establishment. However, yesterday we had a very unfortunate incident with the store. My wife and I were in the store and she tried on a t-shirt. She brought into the dressing room two basically of the same shirt, only of different color. She tried on the one shirt, didn’t like it and returned it to the rack and left the other behind. We then went next door to another clothing store and my wife made a purchase there. The store manager followed us to that store and more or less accused my wife of not returning the other $30.00 t-shirt. Now I have lived in the Warwick area for the past 34 years. My wife and I are known throughout the town by many shop owners that we patronize including BFree, where we have spent a great deal of time and money in the past. There was obviously a misunderstanding here, but my wife felt an obligation to pay for something that she didn’t purchase simply because the store couldn’t find the merchandise. Now I could understand that if we were from out of town, the store may have some concern, and there’s been a rash of shoplifting in Warwick so I realize that there may be a higher degree of alert. But we are natives, and many of these shopkeepers are my friends for many years. These actions by this store are both embarrassing and unconscionable. Over a $30.00 t-shirt that probably wholesaled for $15.00 they’re willing to risk customers who spend hundreds of dollars at a time at their establishment. The incident upset my wife greatly on what was supposed to be a happy birthday weekend for her. I’m sorry to have to write this, but after speaking with management again, they refused to do the right thing and credit back her account. We will miss the store, but in business which I myself have been in for the past 41 years, the customer still comes first and these hard feelings could have easily been rectified by management doing the...
Read moreI ordered a size that unfortunately was too big and when I tried to see about exchanging apparently the last size was purchased that morning. Which I understand but I was previously told I would be sent a return label and they were going to send out the other size if they were able to get them from the vendor. They weren’t able to so I found another pair of pants to exchange for since I need for a trip and they don’t refund only store credit. I was then told by Amy to purchase the other ones and I tried to explain that I didn’t want to put out another $140 since I am exchanging. She kept cutting me off and was not helpful at all. I try to mainly shop small businesses but this will be the 1st and last time I shop this store unless their customer service gets better because this has been an awful experience now. I figur figure by the time they issue my store credit or better yet send me the return label the other pants I’m wanting will be “purchased” and I’m going to be stuck with store credit for a place I would rather not shop at again. Customer service and stores like this is why people don’t like shopping small and it’s sad they ruin it for the ones that don’t know how good some small businesses can be but I’d stay far away from this one after this...
