I'm not even sure where to start. I know that Tops cashiers used to receive training on all aspects of the job, including how to bag people's groceries. It's obvious that they no longer get that part of the training. Today, I was assisted by Janice, (who I'm sure is a lovely person) and watched as she crammed as much as possible into my bags. Two 2 liter bottles of soda, a bag of cheese, a block of cheese, a bag of brown sugar, a package of pepperoni and a full sized box of saltine crackers. I had to stop her when she started to jam my bread in there also, and asked her to please break it up little so it wasn't too heavy & all my stuff wouldn't be smashed. I ended up doing it over again when I got to my car. This is not an isolated incident. Many cashiers do this. Raw meat with produce, refrigerated items with things in paper pouches that get all soggy from condensation, cramming way too much into each bag.. it's low-key infuriating. Does anyone want a 5 pound bag of potatoes on top of their chips or eggs? How about some raw chicken dripping onto their grapes? Not me!...
Read moreExtremely disgusted with the customer service at this location today. We saw an employee stocking shelves, and politely asked if he knew where they had moved a certain product that has typically been in the same location, on an end cap. He literally said no words and started walking, so we followed and ended up in an isle where the employee stood there stairing at the shelf for approximately 2 minutes. Then suddenly proceeded to walk into the back storage room (employees only area). We stood there dumbfounded not knowing if he was checking with someone else or what since he had still said nothing to us. We continued to wait for his return, and a few minutes later he came out, walked right past us and returned to his spot where he was stocking shelves. Absolutely stunned, we followed him back to his spot, and asked if he was able to find anything out about the product. Again, no words. He just shook his head. I would have told management, however I didn't see what his name tag said. If this is our future generation, we have a lot to worry about....
Read moreI do not recommend going to this store. the cleaning was a 3/10 at best, the customer service was so bad. the employees had an attitude whenever I asked for help, they rolled their eyes whenever I asked a question. The floors were sticky and made a noise in some places when you stepped certain places. It felt like they moved the store around whenever I went back, I even heard the manager going off on an employee whenever I was just trying to shop quickly. There even were birds flying around, i'm not sure how they got in there but no one said anything about them. The employees get treated very bad there, I knew someone who worked here for a while and they treated them very bad. I would rather work at Mc.Donalds or stay home and live in my mothers basement then work here, and that's saying something. Shopping here is like choosing between divorced parents, you literally just don't want to go. The bathrooms are so filthy, there is stuff all over the ground and the toilet paper is never full. I once got some chicken and it was disgusting, I will...
