Read moreI finished the 36-week course in 2023. They employ very knowledgeable instructors, and I felt I had ample opportunity to pass all of the AWS certification tests offered. I think it's worth it to someone who wants a leg up on getting into a welding career. There's other ways to get into welding, but for just spending time practicing and getting excellent instruction and advice, Hobart was great. They also set me up with a great welding job right out of school, where I fabricate and weld steel 45-50 hours a week. I suggest not enrolling in this course without a lot of pre study. If you are trying to become a CWI know the code book your testing on before you go there and be familiar with a lot of the different aspects of welding, metallurgy and DT and NDT methods.
