La Fiesta Express — Restaurant in Troy

UPDATE: (2024) I went back, and fell in love with Taco Tuesday all over again. lol The pricing has been very consistent, the food phenomenal as always. The staff is super cool, friendly and make me feel welcome. I go so much now, they recognize me and practically start my order before I say anything. I also go on other days as well - because you can never get enough La Fiesta!

Original review: Great food, great portioning. Why two stars? Inconsistent pricing. I have gone there dozens of times for the Taco Tuesday special and I always get the same thing on my taco. I always add chorizo, for an upcharge. No big deal. My lunch cost me about $13-$14 and I tip as well. The last time I went I was charged almost $20 for the same thing. When I asked I was told because I added the chorizo, I no longer got the Taco Tuesday special price and was charged full price plus extra for the chorizo. Rather than make a scene, I paid the bill and ate my lunch. They claimed this was always the policy, but I have dozens of visits, pictures of my food and receipts that state otherwise. I was not happy, i am totally turned off to them at this point so here...

The leftovers ...the next day... are better than most restaurants "fresh food..10/19 Man I'm sitting here in akron OH having... In my opinion this place is like Hot Head only BETTER and with authentic Mexican flavor. You go through a line just like at Hot Head and order your ingredients for a bowl, burrito, quesadilla, taco, nachos, or other dishes. They give huge portions and are very fast at serving as well as friendly. The dining area inside is clean and the outdoor patio is great. There is plenty of parking at this restaurant. If you love to the full service restaurant LaFiesta, you will not be disappointed as the food is just as goon only you get it even faster and can use their drive thru. The only criticism I can think of is that they over fill their bowls and burritos so eating can be messy, but I don't know many people that would think large portions are...
