I can't say enough amazing things about my experience with Massoud Jewelers. My grandfather was a jeweler and he passed away before completing his last project. It was a solid silver jewelry box with a cast dragon in silver mounted on the top. Andre and Michel worked with me to complete his final masterpiece. They set stones in the dragon's eyes, created a shield with our family crest for the dragon to hold, and arranged for a custom piece of blue lapis to be diamond cut for the dragon to hold in its mouth. They then hand polished the final piece. Exquisite.

When we decided to upgrade my wife's ring, we took it to the Massoud's. The ring was redesigned and recast. The emerald birth stones of our kids were added to accent the original center diamond and the new casting reflected the intent of the original piece (purchased from my grandfather). We're thrilled with the results.

Massoud's in not your cookie cutter, mass produced commercial jeweler. They are a family owned, artisan shop that makes one of a kind custom creations, bringing together contemporary design work with a masterful use of gemstones from all over the world. Anybody can buy a commercial piece from a national chain like Jared's or Kay, but if you want to own a family heirloom that will be passed down for generations, take a drive to Troy, MI and check out what a true artist...

Don’t waste your time here. They are so rude. I went today and the man “helping” me acted like I was bothering him and he was doing me a favor. I am looking for 18K gold and he showed me some options in a catalogue. I picked a pair of 14K earrings I liked in store and one in the catalogue that was 18K. I told him I’d like to compare them and see the 18K option in person. He told me if he orders it, there’s no return “because who is going to pay for shipping?!” Please. That’s no way to do business. You’re talking about selling several hundred dollars worth of gold and you’re going to give a customer a hard time about shipping? He keep telling me he couldn’t take more options out of the case. Well, I’m not going to just pick something without holding it and looking at it. Very rude. He wouldn’t give me the price per gram either. It was overall a terrible experience. I felt he was overcharging me. He talked down to me assuming I didn’t know how to shop for jewelry. No one wants to spend their money somewhere they are not treated right. If you don’t want to interact with people, then choose not to sell...

Unfortunately, I have the kind of pierced ears that no pair of earrings agrees with me (high price, low price, no price). (LOL!) It's hard for me to find clip-on with a beautiful matching necklace.

So I purchased this set from another store. I had faith that a brilliant, knowledgeable person would use their beautiful creative skills to bring this masterpiece to life (from pierced to-clip-ons).

Mr. Michel was the first person I called and last I needed to call. At first my master-mind didn't match his master-mind. So I had to go out the second time (LOL!) to look for the right pieces.

Having the right pieces makes all the different. It took Mr. Michel no less than 5mins to complete the transformation. Loved it!
