Service was down right RUDE!! As we waited to be seated the kids of the workers/ owner were in the lobby area running and playing. One almost knocked over my 2 yr old running past her as we went to be seated. Then once seated it was so cold in the restaurant ppl had to put there coats on to eat their soup. After asking 4 time they finally turned the heat on. Will eating our room temperature soup we ( the 8 of us at my table and the others in the restaurant) witnessed 1 of the severs yelling at customers and having them move tables because 1 of their workers sat the ppl at the wrong table ( they left without service). While our chief was cooking our food their children continued to run around the restaurant and 1 of the teenagers was setting an empty table, our waitress went over to talk to her and play in her hair then brought the lemonade back that she was supposed to be refilling. The highlight was as I was leaving the little old lady who argued with the customers whom left approached me regarding my tip ( which was left in cash, that she didn’t see on the table). I left a note on the back of my receipt about the kids and rude service and her main concern was where is the tip? So after being yelled at for 3-4 mins I went back to the table and grabbed my $13 tip as I waved it at the lady...
Read moreOur work group goes out for birthday lunches all year long at many restaurants in the Troy area, and this is by far the worst dining experience we have had in the 10 years I have worked for the company. They were rude and dismissive of our requests, pushed us to order what they wanted us to order and not what we actually wanted to eat. We were there for lunch, and only 3 tables were occupied, and they ran out of rice, and came back and told 2 of us to reorder after 15 minutes. They told us to get things we didn't want, and one of us did not get his order until the meal was almost done. Most people's food was cold. Two did not even end up eating their order, it was so bad. Wait staff was not friendly or helpful at all, and couldn't answer questions about the food. No apologies for any of the difficulties. This was a shockingly bad experiences among many great experiences we've had at all the other area restaurants we visit. Am disappointed I cannot...
Read moreThis restaurant isn't Japanese anymore, it's Chinese and Indian. Since this still exists on maps and other reviews reference the new cuisine I am posting this here too as a warning. Buffet not even worth the low low price of 7.95... Which is sad. Everything was cold, (not even lukewarm, but flat out cold) except for the items that should have been cold (salad, yogurt raita, fresh fruit) which were just sitting in bowls on a table. Then there's the greasy, rubbery naan that appeared to be day old and steamed back to life, the flavorless fried rice and lo mein, and bone dry chicken in 4 of the 5 chicken dishes I tried. The place overall looks like squatters took over a shuttered restaurant and are trying to make a buck before getting caught. Empty, non inviting, cold, sparse, and dark. Won't be back, wouldn't recommend going. Do yourself a favor, pay a few more bucks and go to Charminar at 16 and Rochester. Never had a bad...
