Tevam Dresses — Local services in Troy

Absolutely HORRIBLE service and employees. Had high expectations before coming to this place. I went in and tried on many dresses. There were two women helping me at the time. Money is all they care about here. I came to a decision of picking a dress to purchase for my engagement and ended up in a situation where the workers were absolutely so rude. They worked with me on a price which I was okay with. One lady told me the price and I was ready to pay. She then said she actually has to go make sure with another worker which is absolutely wrong because don’t approve a price before being sure. The other worker stated she was okay with this. I had left and came back as i was sure this was the dress I wanted. When I came back they hired the price by about another $400. The fact that they decided on a price and then want to go back and forth on hiring and lowering the price is wrong and extremely upsetting as I am supposed to leave happy and satisfied. As this was on ongoing situation for the day, they then went back down a little bit on the price and told me it would be the price OUT the door. exactly that amount. I go to pay and they ended up raising it. I am not a cheap person at all and will definitely pay. The service was the issue here along with how they could not make a simple decision as they should know how to do running a business like this. as stated before, HORRIBLE...

Was initially impressed with this place and the staff and the dresses but that changed quickly Once their true self came out...staff have no empathy with their customers and horrible customer service ...I went in a found a dress and was led to believe that was the only dress they had...tried it on and it was my size ...went in two days later picked up the dress not trying it again because I was under the impression that was the only one they had... went to my seamstress week later and the dress was insanely huge...I was told it would cost $150 to get it altered so I said let me go back to tevam and see what they can do for me ...I go back and see the same dress I purchased same color but in the small size (which is the dress I initially tried in) I got a run around for three days to only be told that they don’t care if I am willing to spend $4000 on a wedding dress they will not exchange the dress ...even after I said okay I won’t buy a new one but at least give me the correct size they still refused and claimed they are not Nordstrom and once the dress leaves the boutique it’s out of their hand even know they knew my event is in June and I just wanted the smaller size which is the one I initially tried...dishonest and poor customer service will never go back and buy...

Tevam TROY LOCATION - My daughter found her dream prom dress is Tevam’s “VIP Room” filled with “one-of-a-kind” dresses. We were not allowed to take pictures of any dresses in the room, adding to the allure. Fast forward to three days before prom, while she’s at a friend’s prom sendoff…my daughter’s friend is wearing the EXACT SAME DRESS! My daughter’s friend also got her dress from Tevam in Troy! I called the store and was told that my daughter’s friend must’ve come in before we did, tried on the dress, and had them order it in her size. How the hell is that possible if the dresses you’re selling are ONE-OF-A-KIND?!!!! If this “one-of-a-kind” dress had already been sold to someone, why was there still a second dress being sold at your store?? Then the sales lady said, “we try not to sell the same dress to girls going to the same school prom.” What???! The prices of the “VIP Dresses” are higher because they’re “custom made”. No attempt was made to remedy this situation other than being told, “I’m sure she will be beautiful in the dress. The dress won’t look the same on two different people.” No compensation was...
