Staples — Local services in Troy

I went to the Troy location 2weeks ago wanting some labels/stickers done for shelving and some laminating. The guy who waited on me , informed me they don’t do that anymore, however he would do it. He was the assistant manager. It was on Tuesday. Said what I was wanting would be done Friday. Hadn’t heard anything so the following week I went in to check, still hadn’t started it. Said would call me. I waited 2weeks. Went back in, my ordered hadn’t been touched. Another assistant manager said it’d have to be sent out, and would be very expensive. I asked for the guy assistant mgr. Was told he’s on vacation and wouldn’t be back until next week. I asked to speak to the manager. There wasn’t one. I was a little pissed, so I informed would go over her head. I did! Called headquarters. Don’t claim to do it all and promise something when you don’t follow through, don’t return phone calls, just left order lay on counter. Total bullshit! Went to fed ex, order will be done for my approval Friday, and complete by Monday!...

This store is poorly run by individuals that do not understand customer service! I purchased a wall calendar - inquired to TWO associates if it was the only academic year they had...& was told it was. Price was $17.99 & was tax exempt because it is for a church. I get to church to put up the calendar only to see I was sold a 2016 calendar. I return the calendar and now they have to order me a 2017...but I notice on clearance January-December 2017 calendars for $5.99. All this hassle and they REFUSE TO GIVE ME THE $6 Calendar as an "we are sorry we screwed up!" Then they charged me tax!! I will be changing all of our supply orders to a company that has customer service as a priority!! According to the Corporate office, this was at the store mgrs discretion! He FAILED!! Monday morning I will be contacted the office of the president.

**3/27/2017: The Office of the President immediately apologized & went above & beyond in resolving my complaint!! ...

I’ve been to this Staples location several times and they’ve consistently come through for me. Whether I’m shopping for ink (like I was today), doing a quick Amazon return, or scrambling to get a same-day print job for a big event — they handle it all with ease.

Today the cashier who helped me out was super friendly and made checkout fast and smooth. I’ve also returned Amazon packages here multiple times, and it’s always quick, simple, and stress-free.

But the real MVP moment for me was last year when I was in a bind trying to get a large glossy sign printed last minute for my dad’s milestone birthday party — and they came through same day. Everything looked amazing, and they saved the day.

Clean store, helpful staff, and solid service every time. Definitely...
