Had a very bad experience at a different location, (Turkey was paper thin, hard, dry, couldn't even get a fork in it, worst EVER), so thought I'd try the Troy Bob Evans. I decided to order the same as I ordered before, hoping it was better, even mentioned it to my waitress. While the Turkey was moist & tender, 1st of all, it shows 3 pcs. in the pictures, NOT 2. Both places served only 2. This visit, the 1st thing I noticed was how sloppy the plate was with the "gravy", it was everywhere! Back in the day, that would not have been acceptable at all! It wasn't until I got home & have been belching grease now for past hour (which is unusual for me to do), it wasn't gravy all over the edges as much as it was a greasy mess! The stuffing was sooo different from the other Bob Evans, it was moist, but greasy, dark in color, too much of whatever seasoning. At a certain point, I thought just eat it, not paying for it and not coming back! I'm glad I had a "gift" card from Bob Evans to cover the meal. Strike two, won't be back! Don't contact me either, I've worked in many restaurants and some of this is just plain unacceptable! The dinner rolls (just like the last place) was the best part, how sad! This was once again the dinner plate special. Haven't tried the pie yet, plus 3.09 for ONE coffee? Wow. Update: Had the pie last evening, it had bite after bite of something super hard (little pcs.) in it. I thought it was the topping, then I found dark pcs. like ground up pits or seeds! I spit bite after bite out, until I finally threw it out. I even poured the rest of the coffee out, after getting more & more sick as the evening went on. I called the 800# today. I specifically said to NOT send me another gift card, I'm not going to any Bob Evans again! This is all...
Read moreTroy, Ohio location. Worst Bob Evans I have encountered. Waited at least 5 mins before anyone acknowledged to seat us. Waited at least 15 mins to get seated when the host said all they had to do was bus tables, when I asked how long the wait would be, as there was just one couple in front of us. Waitress seemed rushed, inattentive. Felt like I had to speak really fast before she took off. I ordered water with specifically no lemon, she puts 2 lemons in it. Which I don't understand why I have to request no lemon in water in the first place. If you want a lemon, that's when it should be requested, not vice versa. Ordered eggs benedict, it was cold when I got it. I requested no biscuits, that in place, I wanted the english muffin as that's how it was originally made, so why it was changed to biscuits, no clue. Of course when my food came cold, it was biscuits, I picked them out. So when the waitress came back around, I made her aware I didn't get the muffins and requested a clean fork as there was a dried chunk of food on the one I was given. It took her 2 times before she remembered to bring me a fork, so my food just sat. Eventually I got to eat, but by the time she brought me the muffins, I was done eating. I also requested extra hollandaise sauce. Not sure why a small dish of it was served to me cold, all they had to do was nuke it, how hard is that? Even though the waitress didn't deserve it, she was left a $5 tip. Had it been up to me, I'd have left no more than $2-3. Worst...
Read moreThis was the WORST experience I've EVER had at ANY Bob Evans. I am highly disappointed with the food AND fhe service. We were sat in the far back corner and had a server that was in another dining room. We ordered 3 cappuccinos and when they came to the table, they were cold. Our food had sat in the window too long after it had been cooked. The syrup and the gravy had a nasty film on top from sitting, the eggs were dried out from sitting and I had to ask for my fruit, after she had already come back to the table with the milk I had asked for 45 minutes before the food came out. We were at the restaurant an hour before we got our food, not to mention the fact that it was 45 minutes after we ordered our food before we saw Madalyn, our server. I am from out of state and looked forward to visiting Bob Evans because it's my favorite spot in Troy. I spent $73 on a table full of dried, congealed food that sat too long in the warm window and cold cappuccinos that were supposed to be hot. We asked for strawberry jelly and received grape jelly. This makes me never want to visit and spend money with the company ever again. I truly wish I could give zero or negative stars because that is how I feel about my servicd from...
