Sylvan Glen Golf Course — Local services in Troy

Told front desk and Kevin (who assigns to golf carts) our group hasn't really played golf and that if anyone caught up to us we would let them play through. They said that was fine and would give others a heads up. They never gave others a heads up and both golfers and Kevin got mad at my group. Threatened to kick us out of we didn't play the front 9 again and would not let us play the back 9. This place is not very friendly if you don't play there every week or golf all the time.

I went to their website and sent an email (to what I thought would be to a manager.) It's been a couple days already and no response back from them.

Abysmal. No option to book walking online so have to pay $35 for 9 holes with a cart (only finished six after waiting 15 minutes every shot) yet there was a fivesome of walkers all hacking it up two groups ahead??? Awful, awful pace of play and clearly nothing is done to help negate it. They had four starters or workers on the first tee and nobody on the course…I should also add, this fivesome teed off in full view of the pro shop and four starters, so maybe they just don’t care at Sylvan Glen🤷🏼‍♂️ Evwn talked to a worker after who acknowledged that they...

We were denied access upon arriving because the call center in Chicago we made a tee time with wasn't aware of the pro-shop folks going home early. Course was widen open and had enough daylight to get 9 in, but only maintenance on staff, no one to take money. Called management later. They offered a 4 some with carts for free any time and were very sorry. Took them up on it, course was a good mix of hills, trees, prairie grass, and water. Greens in great shape. Liked 9 and 18 with the creek before the green that forced you to lay up or go for it....
