Horrible customer service experience on two occasions.
I have two stories that both made me feel that i should not go back to this target location thereafter.
I tried to return a logitech webcam, that i purchased from this location about less than a month ago. the customer rep checks the camera, looks for serial number to compare with the box. given this is only a $70 item.
rep cannot match the serial number, strange but true. she reaches out to manager and manager in the com says we cannot return.
I explain that i literally purchased this camera with the sam exact box that's in her hand and that this wasn't my fault. after back and fourth with her manager , the manager gives the green light.
now, here is where i was insulted... First, the rep wasn't happy for some reason, and the manager tells her to tell me that this is only a one time deal that they will accept this return and next time they will not....
I am extremely insulted, the fact that they treated me like i somehow replaced the item or stole the item is not cool.
#2 during christmas, i ordered an item to pickup, this is busy season they had many temp shifts. I was trying to pick up my item, there was a wonderful old lady that was helping me.... her device was simply not finding my item and i can attest to that.
Here is what happens, the manager comes, she gives a huge attitude to the old lady, the lady apologizes constantly, manager kept giving attitude. and after a few tries they found the item.
I live right next to this target and its my goto store, however after these experiences i can see that there is a definitely management issue and unhappy employees. in both cases i was extremely unhappy on how the issue was treated and resolved and i was insulted so as the other worker during christmas.
Dear district manager, you should look into how this store is being managed and specially their customer support. given Amazon's easy return policy i am sure that no store wants to lose customers by simply rejecting their returns for a reason that was caused by the manufacturer mislabeling the ID and by insulting and being uneasy...
Read moreVery disappointed. I needed a motorized cart to shop in this large a store. All the carts were uncharged. This was at about 10.30 in the A M. ( The store is open at 8 A M.... so something should have been available.) I saw a register supervisor nearby and said that none of the carts were charged. She turned away to talk to another associate. No help there. I went to the other side of the store and none of those cart were charged either. Now I have to cross the store to get what I needed. When I asked an associate where something was, they didn't know. I was supposed to walk to the front desk to ask there. Also while the the floors were very clean, shelves were dusty and a lot of things were not marked. I guess I could take the microwave I was looking at to one of the scanners. Also, I encountered several associates either returning items to the shelves or merchandising. No one would move their carts. Guess no one noticed my cane. So it was going around or I had to move a cart. It must be hard to do your work with all those pesky customers interfering. The one bright spot was the young man in the cafe. He was friendly, efficient and when he saw my cane, asked if I needed help. I told him I could manage a hot dog, but it was nice of him to ask. Sorry if this is long, but it emphasizes why brick and mortar stores are in trouble. Once you get someone in the door, make sure the customer is treated well. No was rude, but I it still wasn't a good experience. I was prepared to spend between $50-100. Instead I spent $7.65. I'd like to know how much it costs to get a customer in the door? Never thought I be using on-line shopping as much as I do. Good luck Target. I...
Read moreOn Wednesday 4/17/24 in the evening, I was using the self checkout and witnessed the self checkout employee verbally attack a Shipt shopper (doesn't Target own Shipt?). The Target employee was yelling at the shopper and caused such a scene! All of the customers were looking at this employee. She was being so RUDE and OBNOXIOUS towards the Shipt shopper. I couldn't believe how unprofessional and LOUD the Target employee was carrying on and it actually made many of us very uncomfortable. I've never seen a cashier act that way towards anyone at the self checkouts at Target. I think the employee thought she was embarrassing the shopper with her verbal assault but, the Target employee actually looked and acted like a complete fool. I didn't know what sparked the Target employee's outrage but, all you could hear was her very LOUD voice and ramblings about "do you want me to call A.P.?" Whatever that means? And, SEVERAL, very LOUD "have a nice day(s)" (dismissing whatever the shopper said to her). I never did hear what the shopper said because the Target employee was too busy being super LOUD and aggressive! So, after the most uncomfortable shopping trip I've ever had at a Target store, I followed the shopper in the parking lot and asked her what happened in there? And, if she was alright? The shopper said to me, "I just asked the employee to not touch my bags. I have a weakened immune system from my cancer and I would be glad to unzip the bags if she needed to look inside". Wow!!! Hey Target? How about you have your employee dial it down about 300 notches? Maybe it's time to replace her for someone with some people...
