Five Guys — Restaurant in Troy

Good burgers. The ""little" burger is a good size. The regular is a double patty. The prices are as high as I would want them for the value but within reason. Fries are great. The regular (medium) size will cover three people no problem. Meat quality is very good as is ingredient/toppings quality. 1 big strike in my world though-they use canned mushrooms instead of fresh. Not cool! The free peanuts while you wait are awesome. Service is fast and burgers, while cooked to order, come up in about 5 minutes. The people working there are always friendly. Parking is easy and ample. The décor is likes all Five Guys, reprints of reviews singing their praises. That's a little annoying but whatever. The have hot dogs too. Maybe next timer on the dogs...

A six year later update for you here. I have been back to this location several times. It is actually been remodeled in the times since my first review. The burgers here are still delicious. The fries are still delicious and come in a bag with way more than what you think you’re going to get. they still have the peanuts which is a huge bonus. Overall, this is a pretty darn good five guys location. They still have the 100 combo Coke machine. Whatever they call that thing and yeah clean...

I’ve had too many bad experiences at this location not to leave a formal review. I used to go here all the time pre-pandemic and never had an issue. But, since then, it always seems to be something the few times I have tried to give it another chance. From Google hours not being updated and reflecting actual operating hours, to ordering a triple multiple times only to get home and have a double, to ordering well in advance and getting to the store only to have to wait 10 mins, to today ordering in advance, waiting at the pick up counter for 15 minutes with my order already on the shelf, just waiting for fries to be added while employees giggle and aren’t paying attention. Enough is enough. I won’t be back. Prices are already outrageous for a burger and fries, and yet on top of expecting an added tip these days, some folks still can’t even manage the basics of reading, listening, and basic professionalism. Ordered my food for online pickup on 02/09 @ 9:15, upon arrival inside at the counter I let them know I was picking up a mobile order for Dina. They just looked at me no one said anything. My name was called after the fresh fries were finished they handed me my bag but I also ordered a shake and informed the employee at the counter. He informed me that the shake machine was down and then another employee said the same thing and that they would go get "her" and went into the back, then the other employee followed shortly after. No one came back out. They just kept looking at me through the small window. I waited at the counter for 5 mins and no one came. I ended up just walking out. When I got to my car both the employees came out from the back. I would have just accepted two cups for fountain pops in exchange for the shake. The customer service I received yesterday was absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable. Communication...
