I'm a frequent visitor at Tellys in the past few months. I've always had a pleasant time inside the greenhouse and have even purchased some trees from the nursery owned by the brother, but this past week I had not one, but TWO negative interactions with the woman in the floral part right outside. I asked if they carried a certain type of flower, gave her the nickname instead of the family name, and she turned her back on me and said, "I've never heard anyone call it that. Quit reading everything on the internet." I was very disheartened, my grandmother loved her flower garden and she called them by their nickname when she tended to them every spring, now I'm tending to them since she has recently passed away.

A few minutes later. I went to the greenhouse to look for a certain calathea. The owner gave me permission to look across the parking lot in the barn and have the young man in there help me. When I walked over there. The same woman was inside and yelled at me to leave and come back with an escort if I was certainly told to come over. I felt it wasn't worth it. The owner was busy and the greenhouse was full of customers. I left feeling defeated with nothing in my hands. I will not be purchasing from them if I can help it when it comes...

So much went wrong for us. We wrote two letters, sent pictures, and texted a manager/owner. Not even an apology. Wanted us to drive 90 minutes just so they could look at the dead plant. Not refund us, mind you. Just see the dang plant.

We asked for store credit at 20% below the purchase cost. We didn't demand a full cash refund. I asked KINDLY for this to be rectified. It was NOT rectified. The story:

We bought a hundred-dollar bonsai at Telly's, a large expense for us personally. This bonsai was for our WEDDING CEREMONY. They told us it would be low-maintenance and they gave us care instructions. We followed the instructions exactly and this was the result: a completely dead tree within a month, I believe from root rot (as the instructions told us to water it WAY more often than we later found out the Internet advised).

This was the tree used in our WEDDING CEREMONY, to symbolize our lasting love, etc. It died a week later. Yeah, hilarious. But we can't get that moment back.

We also bought ANOTHER plant there that was dead within a week. And no, I wasn't using vinegar water. All my other plants remained healthy. Customer service was horrible. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this establishment...
