This was the second time, AT first time Don seemed to be very curious, but he WAS HEAD strong on designing the way he wanted my nails. But assured me he would correct when I come back the next time. On Monday at 9:15AM, I walked in the shop was only 1 other woman was being waited on by Don's wife. I signed in to have a full set and a pedicure. WAS TOLD THEY DO NOT TAKE APOINTMENTS, AFTER WAITING 10 minutes, A man approached me. When I tried to explain to him what I wanted to have done. The other pedicurist stated he could speak English. I explained to HER my concerns the water was too hot. But HE seemed to ignore me. AS THECAUCASION CUSTOMERS CAME IN TO THE SHOP THEY WERE READLY ASSISTED WITH SMILES. As I observed THE pedicure OF the Caucasian lady is feet was done more differently ( wherein I paid $50.00. The man that done my feet seemed to not know what he was doing. And asked to be moved to get my hands done. It seemed to be a joke. So, I turned my recorder on and my interpretation machine on as they begin to speak in their native language. When the man started doing my nails. He began to squeeze my hands too hard. And I explained to him it was hurting. Several times he ignored me. Now from 9:15 to 12 o'clock. This man had not gotten my hands completed. And finally, after stating to him you are hitting my arm, knocking on me, young lady explained to me that he did not understand English. And I said to her, he is hitting me and knocking me. Again, they begin to speak in that native language. And I that's when I complained to Don this man is assaulting me. Hurting me. And I will not accept it. He is not going to mess my nails up. At which time Don began to stand next to me & yelled, that he trained him. And he knows he was not assaulting and hurting me. I told him to play back the video recording, Don refused! Because he was assaulting me hitting my arms. It was hurting. And Don stated to me he didn't like that I had interpretation on my phone as well as well as my recorder. At which time I took a picture of the man's license on the wall. And Don got outraged at me. And stated to me don't come back at which time I stated to him I will leave then with incomplete hand. And I will seek services elsewhere. And I said I will not pay for my hands. Because they were not done. Don asked me to come to his desk. I refused! My nails are Incomplete and messed up,& I will leave. I gave Don my credit card. He still billed my nails. Even though incomplete and messed up. I wrote on my credit card bill I will (dispute my nails.) Then I realized a copy of my credit card receipt. I called Don back on the phone. Asked him to bring my receipt to my van. When Don came, he began apologizing to me, I told him I will never come back. & do not charge for my nails. Don needs to be brought on carpet, sensitized to this way of life in the Birmingham Metroplex. Very poor services. They are races and show bigotry and preference to other races....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to this nail shop for year's. Today 12/13/23 and the last time I visited, Roy which is Gwen husband was very rude to me. On my last visit Roy acted like he did not want to do my nails. He was handling me very yruff such as scrubbing my hands and feet hard and fast. He did a rush job just to sit down and play a game on his phone because there was no other customers waiting. The customer that was sitting next to me even commented and said he act like he don't want to do your nails. So, I asked him was he ok and of course he didn't respond because Gwen said he can not speak English. I believe he understands some of what you are saying. This place makes me feel like they don't want to have to many black people at their location. I have been going here for year's and not just with this experience but times before then I have felt this vibe but I kept going only because I liked Gwen. Gwen is awesome and she always takes her time and don't make you feel like she is giving you a rush job. Today I made a decision I really wanted to get my nails done so Gwen was working on a customer and Don told me to go to Roy. When I got up they all started talking out loud in their language of course, which I always thought was rude. So I was sitting in the chair and Roy sit in the chair next to me, we both was just sitting there so I said to Roy are you going to do my nails he shook his head very aggressive like. So I asked Gwen what was going on and she said I am going to have to do your nails but it is going to be a while because she was working on a customer and was going to do something for another customer that Lisa was working on. I sat there for 2 minutes and thought to myself there are several nail shops in Trussville I don't have to take this and I left. I have never said or did anything to Roy just 3 months ago Gwen told me that Roy liked me as a customer. Sorry long post and I know...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe man at the front desk was very rude and belligerently resented me as the customer asking him to shape my nails correctly and as preferred. As a result, he initiated an insolent dialogue about how no one ever questions his work; I simply stated my nails on the left hand were longer than the right. The service was nail powder. It is an expensive service. So, I stated that I want them done right. He rudely handed me the file and demanded that I shape them⦠I informed him that I would not return and had never experienced such rudeness and poor customer service at a nail salon. I left with my nails unfinished yet he demanded payment⦠His attitude was obnoxious and his work was unfinished and unprofessional⦠Iām posting this because if a service isnāt provided properly and doesnāt meet customer satisfaction there should be an apology rather than rude dialogue and a horrible attitude ⦠donāt question the man at the front desk about his work on your nails unless you want rude behavior. It was a terrible experience. He doesnāt deserve the one rating provided. His service and horrible attitude ruins the experience. Nail work is expensive so the behavior and customer satisfaction should match the price. A service provider should do everything possible to ensure customer satisfaction rather than exhibit rude and disrespectful behavior for simply requesting a job well done. His reviews online are largely good or bad. He receives a one rating often itās second on the chart above so his shop should should be looking to satisfy customers rather then...
