Elegant Beads and Artisan Gallery — Local services in Tucson

Visited the store about a year ago, just popped in after noticing it. My initial impression was the store was elegant, colorful, well layed out~strands of beads along the walls with an array of lovely tables with cups, crystal stemware and lovely bowls holding more ornate focal type beads. There was a "trunk sale" going on with great discounts on a favorite bead makers wares. The prices were reasonalbe, lower on many items I purchase frequently at another local store. I avoid "big box" stores if at all possible to keep our local economy strong. I met one artist who sold beautiful jewelry she made at this shop. The jewelry designer was very content with the mutually beneficial set up she had with the owner. It turned out the woman who rang me up was an owner! After speaking with her for a bit and purchasing a few items, I wanted to give them all or most of my business!! What a fabulous store! I initially came to browse beads and get back in to making jewelry. Since that visit, I've not only gotten into making jewelry but have purchased and gotten inspiration from the many artisans who have work on display.

Sandra, the owner is a priceless gem. She knows her products, has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to offer advice to budding anf experienced artists. She surrounds herself with awesome people including Deborah who had made several pieces I purchased and Rose who continually tempts me with vintage clip on earrings and pins. The shop has many local artisans offering classes for all experience levels.

Elegant Beads is also one of the only shops around that does repairs for a fair price and with high quality.

Such a wonderful store! I've been meaning to leave a review, but kept forgetting to do so! I bought so many great beads over the summer and stocked up on a ton of beautiful beads. Sandy, the owner is SO helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of beads and she even does fun little offers depending on the holidays! I don't agree with the review of the store being cluttered or why anyone would give this store anything less than five stars! The store is well organized and the ladies there are always extremely helpful so they make it extremely easy to find things. Once I start to run low on beads, I will definitely be returning.
