Very unhappy with my nails, the techs were nice but the application wasn't great, I came here instead of my usual place because they're closed on Tuesdays and I needed them done for an event Wednesday. They charged me an extra $5 for length which is ridiculous since I don't get them long, they were going to cut them pretty short and wanted them 1/4 inches. The man didn't bother to shape my nail tips before applying the acrylic and was really rough filing them down, I felt like my nail was going to lift off my nail bed it hurt so much. Paid no attention to detail when it came to shape, I wanted coffin nails, one side of the nail was straight and the other side slightly curved, the nail polish application was atrocious and went outside of my nail onto my skin and he didn't bother to paint the tips or even clean up the mess, he didn't drill under the tips so I have these weird bumps where the acrylic balled up slightly. I got a gel top coat and it did nothing, my nail polish chipped on most of my nails the next day plus I had to go home and clean up the sloppy paint job. Felt like he was trying to get me out of his chair as quickly as possible and move on to next client even though I made an appointment before hand: I wouldn't come back again and overall unhappy. Why pay someone and then have to go back and fix their mistakes? I will stick with my regular nail tech from now on, lesson learned. The Milady techs are nice but should probably practice their acrylic...

I've gone to many nail salons in the past and just wasn't happy. I told a friend of mine that I had two horrible thumb nails and couldn't find anyone who could make them look right. She told me that she had the exact same problem with her thumb nails and recommended Sandy & Tommy, who she went to for many, many years before her death.
I've now been going to Sandy & Tommy for at least 12 years and probably more. On my first visit, I pointed out my thumb nails and Tommy said "No problem, I'll fix them." And he did. They always remember how I like my nails (acrylic) shaped and Tommy always remembers the two trouble spots on my heels when doing my pedicure.
Out of curtesy, I always make an appointment. Sandy's sister is working at the salon periodically and can take walk-ins if Sandy & Tommy are busy.
Tommy & Sandy are two of the most hard working people I know. They work 9-6, M-S with only Sunday off. Both of their kids are highly educated and hard working as well.
Their prices are very reasonable. I get fills, manicures & pedicures and a full set when necessary. I have no idea why someone would expect a discount for children.. Tommy and Sandy are friends now after all of these years. I, and other customers have gotten to know each other, making for some fun conversations.
I drive in from Sonoita (AZ) to Tommy & Sandy.

Read moreI came here a few months ago on a recommendation from a friend. The shop is very clean and smells nice. Some nail places I have trouble understanding the nail techs or they gossip with their co-workers in their native language while working with a client--not here, they will engage in conversation with you and are very polite and speak English very clearly. The nail tech who worked with me was gentle, put a great deal of care in the shaping and trimming, and gave a great hand massage. I had a gel manicure, and it turned out very neat and lasted for a long time. The price was also reasonable, and well worth the...
