An extremely disappointing trip to Target on Old Spanish. I asked an associate gentleman named Corey with long hair if I could literally just look inside one of the product boxes, that was already opened on one of the red stocking U-boat carts near the front lanes. The box was already opened and most of the product was stocked at the check out lanes, he said it was policy to not give the boxes to customers. I explained I don't want the box, it's already open, I literally just want to look inside it. He said no he can't do that. I'm floored, such a simple request, and I let him know that the other ladies on a previous trip had let me look thru them after they had stocked. The two women were obviously friendly and helpful and didn't warn of any issue. They were just helping a customer look for product to purchase. So, Corey then says argumentatively and snidely, "well they did it wrong. They weren't supposed to do that." Do you know how gut wrenching it is for one of your employees to tell a customer that someone who had been friendly and helpful did it wrong? Are all Target employees trained to not help customers and Corey here is doing his job right? What world is this? So I let Corey know he is wrong, and he has terrible customer service. He offered to get a manager and I said that would be a good idea. I waited around for 30 minutes and he never produced a manager, he tucked his pony tail and ran away. The best part of the story is, I went back to the front where a young woman was stocking the cart with the desired product, and she was more than willing to finish stocking the product and let me look inside. Wow! It took a matter of 3 minutes for her to help me with my incredibly simple request. So, Corey's a liar, and probably should be kept in the back of the store where he won't be allowed to speak and lie to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst let me say that as of mid October 2022 the parking lot is a mess of chain link fencing blocking off almost half the front parking area while they do some kind of update or repairs or something. At low volume times for shopping this won't be a big deal, but any other times it is nutty trying to get a spot very close to the door. Next I will say, all right, it's Target. They have the stuff from their weekly ads plus many of your household staples. The store seems clean and organized, but like almost every Target I've been to in the last 6 months, there are so many empty shelves and so many times I use the Target app and it says what I want is in stock, and I go to the aisle it should be on, but it's not there. Sold out, out of stock. This happened to me in 3 different states in the month of October alone, so I guess that's just how it is these days. Even so, kinda bugs me to drive out there and blam, no thingamajig or whatsit. I don't want to mail order my supplies for daily living. Sometimes I need them today! Now how about something good? They had plenty of carts and hand carry shopping baskets and they were fairly clean. They have self-checkout and real cashiers. I love browsing the clearance racks. This time I didn't even need to, though, because I found some lovely $5 women's everyday wear t-shirts, soft fabric and nice colors. Had to get two. Upon checking out with the real cashier person, I was asked if I had a phone number to type in for loyalty rewards, but when I said no, there wasn't any uncomfortable insistence that I sign up for their plan. I loved that. I get sick of handing out my data like lollipops. Overall, a solid 4 stars, going up to 5 stars when the parking lot is fixed and when they tackle supply chain issues or stop saying they have stuff laying around to buy when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to purchase a Switch game and price match with Walmart, which they state they do in their policy: "Weāll match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target and then find the identical item for less at Target.com, Amazon, Walmart or with a Target Circle⢠deal."
They apparently have to price match from their corporate version of the Walmart app which isn't detailed anywhere in their policy and is in no way for Target to subvert and deny consumers what their policy states; this doesn't sound like "corporate Target version" of Walmart: "...then find the identical item for less at Target.com, Amazon, Walmart or with a Target Circle⢠deal."
From my walk from the Electronics department to the returns section, I was told higher ups said for the workers to deny my price match over radio, like they're in some kind of secret spy ring in a movie??? Actually crazy, I wish I was creative enough to make this up!
Not sure what happened? I guess Target would have to file for bankruptcy if they were an actual competitor with Walmart and lost $10, or honor their own policy on their website? Walmart has once again shown why they're on top by honoring their own policy and is quite happy with my $55 by the way.
Walmart overlords have solidified my loyalty, will never shop at...
