I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Thompson Jewelers. I brought in my pendant to have the bail replaced and soldered, and I was assured that it would be properly soldered. Instead, what I received was a bail that was simply bent over and not soldered at all.

For $50, I expected quality workmanship, but what I got was unacceptable. When I voiced my concerns, I was told I was yelling at the staff, when in reality, I was just expressing my disappointment. The customer service was appalling; the staff insisted they were done with the work and showed no willingness to rectify the issue. I understand they may be dealing with family problems, but that should never compromise the quality of service provided to customers.

After over 20 years of relying on this jewelry store for repairs, I’m left frustrated and disheartened. I now have to take my pendant to another jewelry store to have it fixed. When I brought this to their attention, the staff was dismissive and seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. Instead of offering to fix it, I was met with excuses about family problems. I felt like my concerns were brushed aside rather than taken seriously.

Given that I’ve been a loyal customer for over two decades, this experience has really shaken my trust in them. We've bought quite a bit of jewelry here, everything from pearl earrings to diamond rings, and we've been pleased with everything. Pat and Bruce are EXTREMLY helpful. When I went to buy an engagement ring, Pat helped me find the perfect ring (and she did say yes). When we went to get wedding bands Bruce helped my wife find the perfect wedding band (it took a couple of hours spread over 2 days) and when it wasn't within our budget, he gave us a discount so it would be! Howard is one of the best jewelers around and when you have a ring sized he can have it back to you the next day.
