This was our first time back to this Red Lobster in a couple of years. We were not disappointed as the visit was excellent.
A special was a live Maine lobster. Prices have gone up quite a bit on this dish but I ordered it anyway. It was steamed, not stuffed, and it was not overdone as this type of dish can be. When that occurs, it is tough and rubbery.
Fortunately, in this instance, it was moist and tender. Katie, our server, brought all of the utensils necessary to enjoy the meal (including a bib) and I enjoyed every bite.
My dining companion ordered flounder with lobster sauce. It was good but too salty. The salt may have been from the seasoning. It was cooked so the fish was tender; the salt flavor was overwhelming. No doubt, some people like a great deal of salt. We do not generally salt our food for health reasons so when there is a lot on a meal, it is evident.
The house salad has gotten smaller than it used to be but the French dressing was still very tasty and the lettuce was fresh. The cup of clam chowder that I ordered to accompany the lobster was also excellent.
This was the first time I had seen oysters Rockefeller on the menu at a Red Lobster. I wanted to try that dish but had already ordered a full meal so was not able to do so.
Our server, Katie, did an excellent job. The orders were placed and delivered correctly and promptly and the food was served hot. She also brought iced tea refills quickly and without being asked which we...
Read moreMy family and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t busy but for some reason we had to stand up front for 5 minutes while TWO servers walked right by us until my sister finally asked someone if we seat ourselves. We ordered the lobster spinach artichoke dip and our drinks. The drinks and apps came out in a timely manner, however, it would have been nice to finish the appetizer before the server removed it from the table. She had an attitude from the beginning but when we told her we wasn’t finished when she took them she asked what we expected her to do. We just wanted our chips back!! She continued to have an attitude with us and said she can give the table to someone else. Then she dropped the chips off (with a piece of dried shrimp on it) and we were greeted by the manager, Brenda. I don’t know what the server told her but she came over and introduced herself followed by you’re not going to talk to me the way you talked to her. We decided it was best to just get our check and leave but Brenda thought it best to remind us that’s fine but you’re not going to have an attitude with me. When that happened my brother lost it. I have been a head server for 8 years and that IS NOT how you handle a situation, PERIOD! We will not be back and have nothing good to say...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience tonight at Red Lobster. We got there at about 9:15, feeling like we could potentially offend the staff, given it was so late. Much to our surprise, we were greeted at our table by a very friendly waitress, smiling and so sweet, making us forget what time it was. Missie was very in tune to our needs the entire visit. We ordered a couple of starters, and I explained that we could go ahead and order our dinner, but I was concerned it would all be brought out at the same time. Missie assured me that she would time it all so that we could finish our starters before they brought our salad, and we finished our salad before they brought our dinner. She was SO right, and everything flowed so well. Our food was the BEST that I’ve had in a very long time. Everything we ordered was perfect from temperature to taste. It was truly a fantastic, late date with my husband. We really enjoyed it and Missie was a huge part of it. We are grateful and hope you know what an asset you have in Missie. Thanks to everyone, the Chef. Missie, and all those behind the scenes that rarely get recognized. Thank you...
