Celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday party there two days ago:
Pros: Great location easy to find! Great customer service from the staff (they're friendly and nice)! They help setup and cleanup after you leave! They even helped me get food and items out of the car! Great bounce slides and bounce houses that are suitable for toddlers/very small children! The kids had a great time! Great deal with the special on bubbles and cosmic lights for $20.00!
Opportunities: (1) You can only order pizza as hot food through Cici's across the street. No other hot food allowed. Plus, BounceU has to place the order on your behalf. However, you can only order large size pizzas (not XL) to feed your guests because of a "button issue (computer glitch in BounceU's system)." Plus, even though Cici's offers breadsticks, salads, and other items, you cannot order any of those things through BounceU. You would have to purchase those items separately and bring them in or have them delivered yourself. And you can't bring in any other hot food items (breadsticks, meatballs, etc.) even if they came from Cici's. I had to go all the way up to the Owner/General Manager just to get full clarity on this because the Assistant Manager didn't even know some of the answers to my questions. All of this would make sense to me if it were coming from a different food vendor, but to force customers to make a second order and separate trip to the same vendor (Cici's) due to a button issue and not be flexible on this - unacceptable. We brought in cold pinwheel trays from Sam's Club along with mediterranean kale pasta salads and other items instead of even trying to work with the pizza as originally planned.
(2) The party rooms are too small for a big guest list. We tend to have big birthday parties. The party room was definitely tight for me and my guests. Many of our food supplies were near the throne chair my child sat on due to the limited space. This detracted from decorations. Also, the grown-ups ended up sitting at the tables with the kids due to the size and space. Plus, if the kids get restless and begin to move or try to run around in the party room, this poses problems. This space would work better for a small, simple party of maybe 8 but we had over 20 kids and their families to RSVP (estimated 50 people). I'm so glad all of them didn't show up! We would've been smooshed!
(3) I used to work in event hosting and decorations, so we tend to go all out with elaborate party decorations. You get relatively very little time to decorate due to back-to-back parties. You can't attach anything to the walls (even with removable putty that won't hurt the walls), no pinatas, no confetti. That's all cool. But the tables in the party room are "very well used" with scratches and peelings on the corners. They're ugly and you need to cover them. There's also scratches on the walls from the summer camps (often hidden behind inflatables). So if you want to rearrange furniture, the walls can get kinda ugly. Also, the bounce throne thing the kids sit on couldn't even blow up all the way. When they blew it up, that thing started a "gangsta lean" lol! It had colored duct tape on it, and it looked ugly. We made the most out of it, but for the prices being charged for the packages, I expected that the tables and inflatables inside the party room would be in better shape. After all, this is where people will see more of the decorations.
(4) I felt somewhat rushed and hurried. You only get 1 hour and 45 minutes for bouncing and the party room. If you're like us, we like to take our time and hang out. Well, this ain't that type of joint lol! They get you in and out - period! You have to pay for more time.
Conclusion: I would still recommend BounceU for someone if they are hosting a "simply decorated, small private party for toddlers to bounce safely with supervision." For what we received, it was good enough, but I did expect a bit more. They tried to work with us by compensating for the mishaps though. For that I...
Read moreUnacceptable Experience at BounceU Birthday Party I’m expressing my disappointment and frustration with the way my child’s recent birthday party was handled at your BounceU location. While the children enjoyed the activities, the service, management, and overall experience were deeply upsetting — especially given that this was supposed to be a special day for my family. At the start of the event, I was asked to sign in the kids, which I did. I briefly stepped away to take one of my children to the restroom, and by the time I returned, the party had started. I found my birthday girl standing alone, looking sad and confused. I was then informed we needed to purchase socks for all participants — something I was never told about in advance, and that was not the case during previous parties we’ve hosted at BounceU. Previously, socks were included, so I naturally assumed the same applied this time.
To make things worse, my husband had already purchased socks for our three kids, and when I politely asked a staff member about the change, I was met with a rude and dismissive response "why wont your kids wear sock" . Several parents later told me they were stuck in the lobby because they also didn’t know they needed to bring or buy socks. If this had been communicated upfront, I would have made sure everyone came prepared — but I was never given that chance. Later, my sister noticed the NERF WARS PARTY UPGRADE ($20) on our package, and when she inquired about it — near the end of the party — we were told it was part of our booking. We were never informed about it, and our group never got to use this feature. When we questioned it, the manager rudely told my sister that it was "common sense" and that we should have figured it out — a completely unprofessional and disrespectful response. To make matters worse, three additional children were added to our bill — children who arrived extremely late and didn’t even participate in any activities. They came in just in time for the birthday song and had missed the entire bounce session due to the sock confusion. Yet we were still asked to pay for them. As if that weren’t enough, the included CLICK’S PICKS photo package was extremely disappointing. The pictures sent to my email were blurry, poorly captured, and not a single good photo was taken of the birthday girl. For a paid photo package, this was unacceptable. The most disturbing part of the experience came when I calmly voiced my concerns to staff. While I was speaking respectfully and trying to resolve the situation, the manager instructed staff to call the police. Yes — the police were called on a mother who was trying to explain why this birthday party had gone so wrong. When the police arrived, the issue had already de-escalated, but my family and I still chose to stay and speak to the officers so they could hear our side of the story. We did nothing to deserve this level of disrespect and hostility, and the decision to involve law enforcement over a customer complaint is beyond inappropriate. Even the two party assistants acknowledged that many changes had taken place since my last visit and tried to be helpful, but the behavior of the manager and other staff was unacceptable. What was supposed to be a joyful celebration turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. This was not my first event at BounceU, and I’ve never had an experience like this before. The lack of clear communication, poor service, unprofessional behavior, and escalation to law enforcement over a customer complaint is...
Read moreOnly gave them 3 stars bc I have had a party here previously and it was great; so great that we came back yo celebrate here again. My hosts this time around don’t even deserve 1 star. At no time at all did they do anything to make my daughter feel special. From the very beginning, the party hosts didn’t speak to me or even acknowledge me. That’s kind of an important thing when you plan on asking for gratuity but that’s just my personal opinion. I would make sure to introduce my self at the very least to the person paying so they knew who you were if you needed anything. When we moved to the bounce rooms from the lobby, everything was fine. We moved to the second bounce room, there were kids in my room that weren’t with my party that were supposed to be in the bounce room next door. When I asked the host to move those children to their correct party, the host I asked seemed like I was asking her to do too much and annoyed she was asked to do her job. This was the first time there was any communication whatsoever with either host. About 20 min later, we went to the party room which was very unorganized. We had to ask for her special entrance. The hosts seemed annoyed with that. When we actually got into the room to sit down, she didn’t have the guest of honor chair. It wasn’t even in the room. I only know this exist bc she has had a party here before and we have been to other parties here. She was made to sit on the bench with everyone else which again, didn’t really make her feel “special”. The hosts took their time passing out pizza and drinks. They were extremely unorganized and looked like they hated their job. It didn’t give very good vibes for a business that sales a good time for a child’s birthday/special occasion. The host finally came and spoke to me 20 min before our party was scheduled to end. She said “Sorry, we don’t have time for gifts.” They then handed out cupcakes with 10 min left to spare. She brings me my check. I walked to the front to pay but the line was long so I walked back to my room as I didn’t want to miss the last 7 min of my daughters party. When I came back, there were 2 hosts at the door arguing over how to get us out of the room when we had the room til 4:00! At this point I was livid!!!!! This is as not just a bad experience, this was my daughters birthday that I wanted her to remember and have good memories from. The manager was great and did take some off, but the experience was still bad. It’s not about the money, it was about creating a memorable birthday for my daughter and that didn’t happen. It def was not the same experience as our first party here. My guests were also upset about the gift thing. That’s a BIG part of the party. I will also add that some of her gifts didn’t have names so we now have no idea who they are from. That wouldn’t have been an issue had she been able to open them where people could have told us said gift was from them. The picture deal also needs to be mentioned as it was an added part to this horrible experience. Every single picture taken was blurry. I didn’t take pictures bc I knew it was included in the package I paid for. Had I known every single one of them were going to be blurry, I would have taken my own instead of trying to enjoy the party I paid a business to...
