On wednesday, January 22nd, my wife and I went into this location at 91st and Memorial to purchase a new mattress. We set up a delivery date of friday, January 24th. When the delivery happened the driver took our old mattress out to the truck and brought in the new purchase mattress. Upon setup my wife noticed a tag on the mattress stating that this was a second hand mattress. No time when we were purchasing the mattress did the salesman ever inform us that this was a used, second-hand mattress. If we knew what we were buying was a used mattress we would never have purchased it. After talking to the regional director, James schneider, he refused to honor the item that was purchased, a new mattress. This is after stating that his salesman would never sell a used item as a new item, and in turn stating he did not believe us. I have included the receipt that does not State the item is used, and the tag on the mattress that shows that it is secondhand. I have added the front and back of the tag that was on display mattress with the price that doesn't state it is a used or secondhand mattress.
They already took and destroyed our old mattress and they won't give us the mattress that we were led to believe we were buying in the store, a new mattress. James states that customers are supposed to know that the phrase "one and only full 10 year warranty" denotes a second hand mattress. That's a phrase denoting a warranty, not stating if a mattress is...
Read moreMy husband and I shopped at the Sleep Center at 91st and Yale and are so glad we did. Christine Woessner was our sleep consultant. She was terrific. We spent a couple of hours discussing our needs and trying the mattresses. She was patient and helpful, listened to our feedback, answered all of our questions and walked through all options and the considerable selections offered in the showroom. This was so important because a new mattress is a big commitment. Christine understood the pluses of any of mattresses from traditional to hybrid as well as the warranties for them to help guide us to the one that would best meet our needs. She made the purchase easy and straightforward. Both my husband and I highly recommend this Sleep Center and be sure to ask for Christine. She is terrific at her job and will help you navigate the entire...
Read moreI walked into Mathis Sleep Center wanting a box spring for my son and a mattress topper for my bed. I proceed to the counter were I was met by a female sales associate. I explained to her what I wanted and she told me we have box springs but our mattress topper is 100,000,000.00 dollars. (She actually said that) It was off putting because she was implying I couldn't afford Mathis Brother's expensive topper. Lesson for your sales rep: Never prejudge a customer. I may have come in to you store in gym clothes but I have purchased several thousands dollars in merchandise in the last 24 months. Disappointed to say the least. Needless to say, I purchased it just to show her I could afford it. I'm questioning myself for doing so but not sure...
