This morning I ordered online TWO large loaded country grits BOTH with a scrambled egg, TWO sides of breakfast potatoes, and TWO orders of Biscuits with 2 sides of gravy. When I picked up my order, I should have checked it in the restaurant but I LITERALLY ORDERED THE SAME THING IN THE RESTAURANT YESTERDAY MORNING! When I got in the car and down the parking lot, I noticed that there was one box that said potatoes and one box that said 2 biscuits. I was upset because this food was ordered for 2 separate people and now we would have to find containers to separate the others food into because it was more convenient in the kitchen to smash 2 orders into one. When I came back into the restaurant I left the order in the car because of my knowledge of food handling as I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 yrs. I asked for the other scrambled egg for my separate order of grits and didn’t make a fuss about the potatoes being together. The nice waitress went back and requested the one scrambled egg. Then the extremely rude and clearly poorly trained manager, Aubrey or Audrey came out and was VERY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. She kept repeating that I could bring my order back in from the car and they could separate the food into separate containers which is CLEARLY AGAINST TULSA COUNTY FOOD HANDLING STANDARDS AND nasty to be quite frank. Then she proceeded to LIE and tell me that the kitchen has NO WAY OF KNOWING THAT IT WAS TWO SEPARATE ORDERS…even tho the receipt clearly shows 2 orders and if we were dining in like we did the morning before our food would not have been smashed together so she made the kitchen sound highly incompetent as well. There is no way I’m going to believe the kitchen didn’t know it was two orders when the receipt they check marked with a marked as they prepared the order clearly said 2. This rude manager could have saved a consistent and loyal customer by simply cooking one egg and apologizing but instead she told lies and showed that she has incorrect knowledge of food handling procedures and standards while being rude to a paying customer. I ordered another egg and was going to pay for it as well but decided to end it there. Then I was harassed and called at least 4 times after I left the restaurant when I said during the first call that I didn’t want to be contacted again. I live around the corner and I’ll drive to 41st or BA before I ever come back to the 81st location all because of the rudeness and incompetence of this...

Read moreMy family of four came to this restaurant for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and while the large portions and specialty meals were on point, there were a few things worth mentioning that could have been improved upon.
Firstly, my kids are 10 and 12 and order off the adult menu, and the waitress took their order questioning if they were sure that's what they wanted, ect. If I wasn't worried about my own children and their ability to order for themselves, I expect the staff not to worry about that either. The waitress seemed to fluctuate between forced friendly and passive-aggressive in her general mannerisms, and we waited so long for the check!
We did arrive halfway through their service hours, and I understand how it can be when it's crazy busy, but the carpets weren't the cleanest all around the building which was somewhat off putting to me.
As far as the food: my son loved the super huge, plate sized chocolate pancakes. Couldn't be happier! My daughter and wife both had the honey mustard chicken sandwich. It was big and juicy and told me it tasted great. The side salad was lackluster, just lettuce, tomato, and cheese in layers.
The breakfast meats were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the large portion of browns, and they were perfectly crispy while still soft inside. The eggs were slightly undercooked and slimy inside.
I will probably give this place another chance one day, and if you want casual with large portions, definitely try it at least once. I hope that whenever I come again I will be able to improve...
