I love River Market Farmer's Market! I try to go every Saturday Morning. At some point over the past 3 months, I have purchased homemade breads from Elizabeth, art from Mrs. McLeod, who creates canvases, ornaments, and lovely ring holders made from shells that she sources from the gulf and paints, local honey from several vendors, fresh eggs (even easter egger eggs!) from 2-3 vendors, fresh meats from a man out of Greene County (best pot roast ever!), fresh mushrooms such as lion's mane and other varieties, greens (arugula, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, mustard greens, etc.), sweets such as cakes and sweet breads from several vendors who even offered vegan options for my child who has food allergies, a really cool bowl made of resin and black walnut by a local artisan from Cottondale whose wife is an excellent baker, homemade soaps (recommend the charcoal soap - great for acne/skin conditions), and (I saved the best for last!) SARMAS made by these amazingly talented women from Turkey. Sarmas resemble dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) and we never leave River Market without some. These ladies also sell other hand made items. If you haven't visited, you must go and take a friend or family member. There is truly something there...

The Tuscaloosa River Market is more than a place—it’s a rhythm. A breath of fresh air along the Black Warrior River where Saturdays begin with intention and end with connection.

From local honey and heirloom tomatoes to handmade soaps and wildflower bouquets, each vendor brings a piece of Alabama soil, soul, and story. I’ve walked these aisles with my son, coffee in hand, sunlight dancing off the water—grateful for the pause, the pace, the presence this space offers.

It’s the kind of place where time slows down, neighbors greet one another, and your senses remember what real feels like.

A sanctuary of slowness in a world that rushes.

A rooted space. A reflective joy. We’ll be back,...

I attended a private event here recently. The venue itself is very pretty, and the view of the river is gorgeous. But the security company used by River Market needs to be re-reexamined. It was like a police state. They harassed anyone who looked under 30. I saw guards looking through trash cans with flashlights. You weren’t even able to take your own drink into the restroom. The bartender overcharged us, which I suspected to be purposeful. The security staff was borderline harassing the guests. We left the event early thanks to the rude...

This was the first time my Mom & I was there. We love it It's beautiful. And down there right by the old Warrior River. They have all kinds of fruit, & vegetables. Homemade things. Like soap Honey, handmade jewelry made from clay from Hurricane Creek. We really enjoyed it. Need to go check it out. Farmers Market on the River Walk. I had my foster kitty with me. Everyone wanted to pet little Sage. She will be up for adoption this Friday. Call Metro Animal Shelter. #tmas

We arrived at 7:30 and the place was packed. I got these huge bulbs of green onions for $1 each. The tomatoes were $7 a bucket. The yellow squash was $6 a bucket. The blackberries were $8 a bucket. The snap beans were $1 lb. Corn on the cob was $1 an ear. The giant sunflowers were $2 a stem. I wanted to buy some honey, but the prices were too high. A little pint with some honeycomb was $25. A quart was $20. I'll just continue to buy my honey at the supermarket.

I’m here for a work conference awards night and this is a very nice venue for this event. Large and roomy, lovely šŸ’view over the river. Convenient location with two entrances and exits. The parking is a little tight but workable. There is a biking/walking path between the building and the river… if it’s a long event, it’s the opportunity to take a walk. And it’s very scenic for picture taking.
