Moonshot Creamery — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

This was my first visit with a friend and our kids. I ordered a triple scoop of caramelized banana. I head out to walk on the walking trail and before I could get far there is a brown hair frozen on one of the scoops. I was immediately grossed out. I picked it out to gauge the length. It was a shorter brown hair. I walk back to the shop . One guy walks out( the same guy who fixed my ice cream). I inform him, he doesn’t apologize one time. He simply proceeds to replace it. Sure the replacement is appreciated but the lack of sympathy for such an experience was noted. Now I have my replacement and I am half done eating it. To my surprise I now have a long clear/grey strain on my scoop of ice cream. I’m walking the trail at night so I couldn’t see as good as I would have liked but it was clear there was something else in my ice cream. At this point I had to trash it. It was a bad batch of ice cream. Each strand was clearly frozen into the ice cream. There’s no telling how many other random things were in that bucket. I’m disgusted thinking about it. It was a bad first experience. I’m certain I want be returning . I mean the lack of an apology for something like that was...

Easiest 5 stars ever! This ice cream shop is just what I have always been dying for in Tuscaloosa! I love how Moonshoot has SO many flavors to choose from while still using quality ingredients. I have tried multiple flavors and liked every one so far! So delicious! Moonshot is also in the perfect location. It’s been so great to stroll on the river walk with a friend and then grab some ice cream! The staff was so friendly and was so gracious the first time I came in and wanted to try a few different flavors. On top of all of the amazing ice cream, have I mentioned the wine selection?! INCREDIBLE! I also have a tshirt from there that’s super comfortable! Moonshot creamy is truly a dream come true for me! If you haven’t tried Moonshot and live in Tuscaloosa, you’re missing out! Finally got to check out the new Moonshot Creamery ice cream place in Tuscaloosa and it did not disappoint! The location is great being on Jack Warner Pkwy near campus and there is good parking available. They offer a lot of different flavors of ice cream, and their menu changes frequently.
