I thrift like it’s my duty in life. I have my favorite thrift shops all the way from 29palms all the way through to the San Fernando valley on about 5 different routes. This is one of my favorite “off the beaten path” thrift stores! They have all five key components needed to maintaining a thriving thrift business! 1.Constantly bringing in new inventory and keeping shelves new and interestingly stocked. 2. Always pricing things to move. (Many thrift stores forget that their main returning clients are Resellers who are there to buy at low prices and make a profit also and often times shops try pricing things at retail market prices which cuts out the reseller’s who help the store move stock quickly. Once there is no longer a profit for the resellers those resellers stop shopping those places, which then slows inventory turnover) in short this shop gets it and keeps things priced low so things move fast and inventory is never stale 3. Exceptional small town customer service. The wife and daughter are always there to strike a good deal with a smile and remember faces to keep regulars feeling important. 4.Realistic and accommodating hours. And 5. They have the right traffic flow. They have the “trial to no where” meaning you walk down a long engaging trail of goodies all the way to a dead-end, then are forced to turn around and go back through revisiting all the items you saw on your venture to the end, which allows you the glance to grab those second thought items on your way back through. They also have the “circular flow track”, that allows everything to go in a circle so you to easily move through the rest of the store.
Bottom line is … There’s always a deal to be made and they always have so much stuff to look through. It’s one of the few places I can (almost always) find what I need when I have something specific in mind. Again great job guys! Thank you for having things figured out! 5stars!!! (from a rather critical reviewer) I fully recommend checking them out! It’s worth the trip out to 29palms...
Read moreThe young cashier is a sweetheart. She is the main reason my family will be repeat customers. Very thoughtful and able to relate well with patrons. The younger of the two gentlemen also really has a heart for connecting with the community and embodies customer service. The older gentleman that I've seen working on occasion doesn't seem to be very personable with customers. There's a definite shift of energies, at least from my experience, when he is working. Regardless, we're always able to find some treasures for very reasonable prices. The store continues to be sorted and organized and is...

I've driven by numerous times around evening/dark & they have been open or...
