Brookshire's on 5th Street is a good place and every time I have personally gone there they have been very accomodating. I especially save alot when I buy their family pack meat deal for 20.00. I haven't been to any other store. There are only a couple of downsides to the store (mind you this is just my own personal view) is that their hot food case and the layout with the table and chairs(from the various times I have been there) have rarely been used and some of their recipes such as fried chicken and their beef brisket could use a change up. They are very salty and there have been a couple of times where I have noticed they have been either sitting too long and the fried chicken I stopped buying because it was too salty and not moist. The second is that the fresh bakery items are too overly priced for what they are and qute honestly one could go over to the walmart and get it for half of what they charge and it's kind of sad because one time I tried one of their baked goods and let's just say that it could use a greater diversity to justify...
Read moreI am very disappointed from this Brookshires store. I had the worst experience
Yesterday night, my wife asked me to buy dippers for our baby boy and she mentioned brand name "Huggs", i went to Brookshire's and i bought "luvs" instead of "huggs". When i got home my wife said this brand it is not good, so i went to the store to change it. When I entered the store, there was no one to talk with, i asked one of the casher and told her i want to replce it and buy huggs dipper, she did not care much and say in a very disappointed manner "no return". I asked her i bought it last night right before the store close around 9:30 and I came right in the morning 8;00 am to return. She screamed and said "said no return" and when i told her what i am going to do with this "she said no argument and want to call the security" I left the store with the worst experience ever and in my mind i will never ever buy anything...
Read moreQuite disappointed lately on 5th Street. Is it company policy to ask if you need help with the overpriced groceries I just bought. If I wanted to carry my own stuff out I’d go to super 1’s. Remember when everyone would greet you when you came through the door? And the lack of product is quite disheartening. I want to shop local but come on! UPSATE: 6/8/21. And yet again!! Wheeling my buggy out (that pulls hard to the left) after checking out with an actual checker a manager type asked me if I needed any help. Like any stubborn red-blooded american I smiled and said I was fine. Did I mention I had my squirming two-year old in my arms? Just saying any service-minded person wouldn’t ask, they would just do it!!! Come on Brookshires!! I know y’all can do...
