Almost 2 years in, they blocked our numbers and never finished punch list. DO NOT BUY FROM OAK CREEK! OUR HOME IS FALLING APART, MASTER SHOWER HAS TO BE TOTALLY REPLACED, WE WERE TOLD BY LAAT CONTRACTOR, WHO ALSO SAID HE WOULD RETURN THE FOLLOW WEEK TO FIX. THATS WHEN HEATHER IGNORED OUR TEXTS ASKING WHEN SOMEONE WILL BE HERE TO FINISH PUNCHLIST OFFICE IN TYLER HUNG UP ON HUSBAND AND MAIN OFFICE IGNORED TEXTS AND PHONE CALLS. WE PAID IN FULL AND GOT SOME OF THE CRAPPIEST WORK. TOO MUCH WORK AND NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO FIX ALL THE ISSUES THEY LEFT UNDONE!!! UPDATE 2: BEING TOTALLY IGNORED! WAS TOLD BY LAST CINTRACTOR MASTER SHOWER HAD TO BE REDONE. THE SHOWER WALLS BUCKLED AND CAUSE WALLPAPER TO PULL OFF SHEETROCK. CEILING FAN FIXTURE IN LIVING ROOM DOESN'T WORK. TRIMMING AND FRAMEWORK NEEDS TACKING AND CAULKING. CORPORATE IGNORING MY TEXTS, CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL IGNORING TEXTS. THIS IS MY 4TH MOBILE HOME TO LIVE IN, IN MY LIFE. THE WORKMANSHIP AND SERVICE ARE THE WORST. ACTUALLY NEVER HAD TO CALL ANYONE BACK FOR OTHERS FOR ANY REASON. 2 DOUBLE WIDES, EVERYTHING WAS DONE GREAT. I JUST NEED THIS DONE. WE HAVENT MOVED IN AND IT WAS DELIVERED IN APRIL. IT ISN'T RIGHT TO SPEND $160,000 FOR A HOME AND BE TREATED THE WAY WE HAVE. WHY NOT JYST FINISH THE WORK AND BE DONE. WE PAID EXTRA FOR WASHER AND DRYER, AND DRYER IS ALL DENTED UP. THIS HAS BEEN ONE STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. ALL IVE BEEN ASKING FOR IS TO GET STUFF DONE RIGHT! UPDATE: DRYER DELIVERED WITH BIG DENT ON SIDE, GUY SAID HE HAD TO LEAVE IT. WAS GIVEN A DATE AN INSPECTOR WAS TO COME. SAT HERE ALL DAY, WAITING IN MY DRIVE, NO INSPECTOR. CORPORATE HAS CALLED, BUT THEN SENT A TEXT SAYING WE TURNED AWAY SOMEONE, YET NO ONE HOME TO TELL THEM THEY COULDN'T COME TO DO WHATEVER. WAS TOLD IF WE TURN AWAY THE INSPECTOR, THEY ARE NO LONGER GOING TO SEND ANYONE OUT. THEIR INSPECTOR NEVER SHOWED, AND CORPORATE AND OFFICE IGNORE MY TEXTS. WENT TO OFFICE, WAS TOLD REPORT FOR INSPECTORS RESULTS WOULD BE IN NEXT DAY. A REPORT FROM AN INSPECTOR THAT NEVER SHOWED. WAS TOLD FROM RON HAYES I WOULD GET A CALL NEXT DAY... NOTHING! PART OF ELECTRICAL DOES NOT WORK IN HOUSE, SHOWER IN MASTER IS MESSED UP, AMONG OTHER THINGS STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE. IT HAS BEEN AROUND 2 MONTHS. BASICALLY BEING CALLED LIARS AND SABOTAGING OUR OWN HOME. THE HOME WE ARE CURRENTLY IN IS FALLING IN AND WE HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO STAY. THESE PEOPLE COULD CARE LESS! IF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOAN, THEY'D HAVE BEEN ON IT. Do not recommend! Everyone SO nice during viewing. Asked questions about construction, which they apparently act like they know about. The construction is bad. We paid for ours in full before getting. So many things wrong! SO MANY. Would get ignored from office staff and the person in charge of punch lists. Still getting ignored and still things need to be done! Things under linoleum, walls buckling in showers, along with pulling the wall paper. The borders around doors and windows need fixing and re- caulked. It took us some time to get things done for them to start due to shortage of supplies, but now no one wants to talk to use. We were even accused of trying to disassemble the foundation and cut straps. The house was poorly set up. We have asked them to relevel and was told they were done with us. 165,000 on a poorly constructed, suppose to be new build home. Now have to find someone to re-level it. They give you a nice experience looking and getting your money! After that, no one wants to talk to you or get back with you. We paid for washer and dryer and haven't...
Read moreI only gave three stars because we are in the beginning stages of purchasing a home from Oak Creek with Andy Moncrief as our sales man. A more precise review will be applicable after delivery of our home, should it come to pass, and we can better assess the professionalism, craftsmanship and, most importantly, the service from Oak Creek. We were told after, filling out a vast amount of paperwork that our information would be submitted on Monday, as Saturday was the day we chose the home we we would like, and that we would have an answer the following day, Tuesday, which is today. Meaning that we would have a definitive answer as far as approval for our mortgage goes. I reached out late in the day to our salesman and to one of the owners who does the financial side of things. I also left an email. I did hear back by email and was told that an “answer should be today and soon and I will call you right away”. Anyway, business hours are over and I have not heard back from anybody. From what I understand, they have been in business for many many years so I would imagine they know that people trying to buy a home are sitting on “pins and needles” waiting for an answer so I would think that they would reach out, even if there was no news or bad news. But this has not been the case at Oak Creek in the first go round. Just being completely honest here. I KNOW THEY ARE BUSY AND I AM NOT THEIR ONLY CUSTOMER. I GET THAT. Of course there was great communication in the beginning. Anyway, we remain optimistic, knowing that God is in charge of all of this and is orchestrating this entire situation. We praise him no matter what. Update to this review: We were pre approved and going through the mortgage process. Andy, our salesman, has been good! Tap dances a lot, but good. He makes time for us when we have questions or issues and finds the answers IF he doesn't know. He has been a pleasure to work with through this process. I recommend Andy if you go to Oak Creek for a home, and I suggest you do if you're in the market! Final Update to this review: 10 months after receiving our home, we still have work that needs to be done that they are contractually responsible for. Also, the "Walmart Brand" central air unit has already broken down, 8 months after moving in and does not cool the master bedroom end of the house. It already needed to be repaired, "new board" replacement was needed, and the warranty does not cover labor!!! What a joke, but my guess is every one of these dealers have the same bag of tricks. Good luck in your...
Read moreMy wife bought a modular home from this company in 2016. While I was not involved with the buying process, I am making this post in regards to the lack of quality of the home. For a home that's only 5 years old I am very annoyed at the lack of craftsmanship and materials used to build this home. Upon moving in my wife had problems with a water leak in one of the bathrooms that had to be repaired. 2 years later she had to call a repair man to fix a leak around the fireplace. A couple of years ago we started having issues with the floors having soft spots. After removing the vinyl flooring it was discovered that the flooring is made of particle board. I think paying 150k + for a home should come with real plywood floors. Even though my wife asked them specifically about the flooring prior to purchase they lied to her saying it was plywood. She also asked them specifically about the insulation if it was spray foam and they lied to her again because it's fiberglass mat. Needless to say I have had to make a lot of out of pocket repairs due to poor manufacturing and the fact that the do nothings at the insurance company wont act!! I will NEVER recommend Oak Creek homes due to the fact that these homes are overpriced junk.
Update 11-20-22
After spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer we we're finally given a settlement from the warranty insurance company. While it was lower than what we expected, we decided against going to arbitration because we could not afford additional legal fees. Now we aren't able to sell our home because it no longer meets the requirements necessary for someone to get a mortgage on it. So now we're stuck with a home no one wants to buy and we don't feel 100...
