Jucys Taco — Restaurant in Tyler

I absolutely loved juicy's tacos when I lived in Longview and was so excited to finally get a location here in Tyler.

I waited a while for all the excitement to die down before I decided to go. Food was delicious from ordering to getting my food. It didn't take more than 30 minutes. That was a surprise since there were about six people ahead of me ordering and their dining room was completely packed.

I ordered their super nachos with ground beef. Absolutely delicious and plenty of food for one person or even two people to share. Order two bean rice and cheese burritos. This is where the problem was. The rice was super hard like it had not been cooked completely. My daughter had a taco plate with rice and beans and her rice was fluffy and delicious.

Can't really knock this place because of the hard rice considering they were extremely busy and they recently just opened. I just chalked it up to the staff needing to learn the ropes because their Longview locations never had this problem.

Staff was extremely friendly and extremely helpful. I let them know about the hard rides and they offered to remake it for me but I declined not because of anything bad but because I just wanted them to be aware of...

First time customer, having never heard of the chain. Service was prompt and exceptional. The drive thru staff legitimately brightened my day with how friendly they were. The food on the other hand was beyond atrocious. Every element on my plate was like the somehow worse, "great value" version of it's standard, budget tex-mex joint counterpart. Stale rice, chemically flavored beans, taco shells so thin they crumbled under duress if you looked at them hard enough... If "white people taco night, dollar general edition" was the theme, they knocked it out of the park. But again, probably the greatest service I've ever received at a restaurant. The staff deserve better than the apocalypse quality cuisine they're being forced to serve; yet they do so with a smile.

Would return for the novelty, would stay for...

I was so excited to try the new taco place Who doesn’t love tex mex ? And I LOVEEEE the original Jucys so much. So I was super sad about my first experience at the new taco place. I got the Nacos The photo made them look sooooo good… I asked for cheese on the side because I have a long drive home and wanted them not to be all soggy… they charged me for the container of nacho cheese.. (the cheese was suppose to be on it anyway so I wasn’t asking for extra..) Then I asked if it came with salsa and they said it’s extra for salsa… who doesn’t eat salsa w thier nachos. Anyway.
