This year we were looking forward to a long vacation in Clearwater with the stop in Brunswick at the Hilton on the way, I was really surprised to see chunks at the building and Brunswick. We fell asleep excited to go to Clearwater the next day, not a terrible stay. This one is a $4000 room at the Days inn at best. (Sorry Days Inn, no disrespect) from Sunday to Sunday we were expecting it to be very nice. Nothing looks like the pictures that I think were taken in BC. We were thinking OK this is going to be great, can't wait to see the place, we pulled in and they wanted $30.00 for parking. Back up in a handicap spot that wasn't in the garage I told him I don't have to pay for this right he said no and let me go in. Little did I know until later in the week, they charge for PUBLIC PARKING $30. So, they would charge us the same price basically as anyone off the street. I was happy and didn't care. Walk in two guys standing there didn't say a word. They were concierge, I asked one where check in he directed me to the elevator. I walked up to the desk waiting on him to say something, or maybe point to his neck because he was choking and couldn’t speak I don’t know. I said I need to check in and gave my name. He told me he needed $550 resort fee. ee now this resort fee that covered the Wi-Fi and the 2 bottles in the room you have to pay for. We got on the elevator it went up a little bit and dropped we sat there for a second and did the same thing we went up and stopped I thought we were going to die in the first 15 minutes at the place. Gotta get better, right? Nope you're wrong logged into the room and there was a Gatorade bottle under my bed use Q-tips on the balcony there was blood on the bed in the other bed had black spots all over it the air conditioning didn't work and the drain didn't work in the shower. Room service they bought us a blanket and towels then just kept saying she didn't speak English. Had to get supplies and Walmart to clean the room myself. went to pool to get a drink and asked how much the drinks were he said they were reasonable good answer when you're are buying something at a resort that raped you for almost $5000, lets see what you got. And the price is right resort. About 7 pina coladas in a week, I only paid the same price for them twice and that's because they were on the same ticket. It was so fun not knowing what would be next, it’s like a game. OK, let's see how much it will be this time Johnny. I was walking around the pool, and I kept warning everybody that the tile going around the pool were sealed.I don't know how many people I saw fall. All I know is I fell twice first time not bad second time really bad. It's been a month and I haven't heard anything from the Hilton of course. We got gulf view thinking that would be the best view I'll post that picture too you’re welcome. We literally had a long roof that stretched all the way to the end of the beach which was awesome because all we could see was the ocean. Don't take your own beach chair down on Hilton’s property, that's when I had enough. Went down to watch my son and my husband and I was going to just lay a towel down and sit before I a man on his cute little scooter with Deputy Dawgs security badge pulled up and told me that we weren't allowed to have a “Hilton towel” on hilton's property I had to rent a Cabana. Yeah at 7 p.m. ok. $4000 in the days in and can't even use a dang towel Then I got home Still hurting from my fall and mad about these stupid charges. I found out I didn't get my Hilton honors points because I booked through. They told me if I booked priceline I didn’t get points. I explained they gave me points for Airbnb Brunswick stay, she had no answer. I wrote a review; they said the property manager would get with me in 2 days. I called the hotel 800 number or whatever it is they said the manager would be in touch with me in three days I'm writing reviews here because I wrote 3 corporate people here and nobody responded surprise. Find a new hotel this one's going downhill bad Paris...

Jacque Conley, General Manager. Sandra Chaverri, Head of Housekeeping department.
My stay of December 29 to Jan 1 was a disastrous experience. Supposingly for 3 nights stay, we decided to leave upon the second night.
My significant other and I stayed at Room 427 which the AC unit stopped working. We were moved to Room 429.
Upon entering the room 429, there was an unpleasant smell which I originally thought "Might be because there was no air circulation". I turned the AC on and the smell only progressingly got worse. Then we assessed the room. There were "poop" stain on the curtain by the AC unit and on the carpet trailing from bathroom to the front of the bed.
I called and moved to Room 430. At that time, it was approximately 1am on Dec 31. The room has no weird odor upon entering. However, once I showered and got into the bed, I thought I smelled "urine". Then my significant other got into the bed. He sniffed the linen and asked me to sniff it. It was definitely urine smell in the bed linen.
At that point, we were overly exhausted and called again. On top of that, we immediately showered thoroughly. That was the worst nightmare to be sleeping in a bed with urine of someone else in a HILTON hotel.
We were offered to be moved to another hotel or be given the linens so we could change it. We were at that time too tired to move as we also had early plan. So we decided to change the linen ourselves and speak to the management first thing in the morning.
I am a 31 years old woman who is an Artist and Registered Nurse and my significant other is a 29 years old man who is a software developer. We calmly addressed the issues to the Assistant Manager around 9am on Dec 31. We were told that she is new and she has to ask her manager for assistance to make things right for us, and that we would get a callback from them.
So we headed out to do what we needed. We waited all day and didn't receive a phone call from them. So we decided to go back at 430pm to discuss the issues.
We stated our expectations "To be moved to another hotel for the remaining one night. And request for the full refund of the whole stay."
We waited till 530pm, Jacque Conley, General Manager, spoke to us. She stated clearly that she is sorry for our experience and that one night refund is the max she could do.
We packed our suitcases and found another hotel on our own.
We do not trust the housekeeping because cleanliness is important to me.
With all the above said, this hotel is not at all Hilton Standard.
As a gold member with Expedia, I traveled across the world staying in many hotels with record of flying more than 21 times internationally in a year for vacations. I never encountered any situation like this. This was my first time. I called my Expedia Gold membership customer service for assistance.
After all, the management is inadequate and the housekeeping standard is unacceptable.
I called the Hilton Corporate Office and will continue to pursue to evaluate the staffing at management and the housekeeping and their standard at "Homewood Suites at Jacksonville DeerWood Park".
I am beyond disappointed at how everything had happened. However, we decided not to let this ruin our New Year.
We stayed at Best Western Premier Jacksonville Hotel for Dec 31 for New Year. It was a wonderful and clean property with pleasant staff. I would highly recommend...
