I just found a wonderful nail spa that I'm thrilled to call my "new home" for all my nail care services! I have had nail enhancements for many, many years (acrylics, dip powder, liquid gel, etc., you name it!) and have found good nail technicians whom I've followed for years; however, after having some recent issues with nails breaking frequently, I decided it was time for a change. I did some research and after considering all the options, I made an appointment at Koncept Nail Spa. It's always hard to try a new place and new technician because you don't know what you're going to get, but in this case, I am so glad I gave Koncept Nail Spa a chance! My nails were in bad shape. I went in for my appointment with hands I wanted to hide because my nails were broken and not the shape or length I wanted. Hugo was a true miracle worker. He did the most amazing job ever with my liquid gel refill, including a couple of nail repairs. Hugo was gentle, took his time, and captured everything I wanted in my nail shape, style, design, and color. They look so natural and beautiful. I can't stop looking at my hands now because Hugo literally transformed them from unsightly to nails I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I also had a wonderful spa pedicure with Amanda, who was thorough and detailed, as well as attentive to my every comfort and need throughout the service. The pedicure chairs are top of the line, as is everything is in this beautiful new spa. Amanda also had her work cut out for her and she not only made my toes look great, but she gave a leg and foot massage that was perfect. I felt like I was a welcomed and pampered guest, yet very much at home. Everyone was so kind and gracious, accommodating me on very short notice on a Friday after work. They stayed well after the salon's closing time to make sure I received the highest level and quality of service. The nail spa itself is simply beautiful and so clean. I couldn't stop admiring all the eye-catching design elements and decor. Koncept Nail Spa is going to see...
Read moreI came in for a green French tip set and asked for a super short length I made that clear from the very beginning. The male tech doing my nails was told multiple times that I prefer short nails. I showed him pictures of how I normally wear them, pointed to another client in the salon with the exact length I wanted, and even pulled up photos of my own previous sets.
His response was that my nail bed was different, and I said I understood but still emphasized, again and again, that I like my nails short. I repeated myself at least five times, but my nails still came out much longer than what I requested. By the fifth time, I was just over it. Iâm not confrontational and donât like having to keep repeating myself when Iâm paying for a service.
On top of that, the execution wasnât good. The shape was uneven, some nails looked bent, and the French tips were thick and not cleanly done. I paid $90 for a set that didnât reflect what I asked for, didnât feel flattering, and overall just felt rushed and sloppy.
What made it more frustrating is that I was sitting between two female techs who were doing beautiful, clean sets listening to their clients the first time and getting it right without all the back-and-forth. Meanwhile, I felt like I wasnât being heard or cared for in the same way.
Iâve never paid that much for a set before and maybe because Iâm not long nail girly so I really know what the long nail girls pay but especially not for nails I wanted to take off as soon as I walked out. Iâm someone who usually tips generously, but this time I didnât tip at all because I was genuinely disappointed.
I donât like leaving negative reviews, but I also couldnât let this go cause Iâm really upset and then knowing that I should have just told them I donât like them but like I said I donât do confrontation.
Omgg and looking at the good reviews makes me even more upset because I see so many girlies with cute Nails! HIGHLY...
Read moreIf I could give zero review, I wouldâve given to this place. After I read the reviews I made an appointment a week before and went there on time. I requested Ricky to do my nails because I read a roof reviews about him. He came 20 minutes late. since Amanda ( which btw a nice person and very professional) wrapped my nails I was okay to wait for him. Then he came. NOONE IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD EVER DISGUSTED TO TOUCH ME BECAUSE I AM DARK SKIN. He kept mistreating me and asking me if I know what I want even after I told him the # of the color I want. And I was like you know if you can just remove the SNS I already had itâs okay for today. Because clearly he doesnât wanna do my nail and he told the other girl to remove and left his seat. The other girl removed the SNS for me while he was talking about me with their language ( which btw I speak that language bc I went overboard as international student and leaned ). He kept cussing me out and saying things that are not nice. I only went there to get my nails done and I had no idea what happened to made him feel like that about a random person. Finally, when I head to the cashier to pay I asked the girl if they have a changed for $20 so I can tip her and Amanda and he said donât take her money and she said they do t have change and itâs okay. I was soo speechless and left. He immediately followed me with 2 bowls of water and spill it close to me and said May the bad spirt goes away. I have never had such an experience like this and I am a type of person who doesnât like arguing and staff so I left without saying anything even if I heard everything he said about me. AGAIN I HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED BUT IT WAS UNFORTUNATE AND I DONT THINK NO CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED THAT WAY. If they only want to serve people based on color skin then...
