They have a fantastic selection, that being said...Ive had problems with furniture I bought. My main problem was Customer Service! They did fix, but could of done a better job of heping to fix it sooner/better. The customer service was my main complaint. Since I bought one day from 1 particular salesperson (I dont want to use names), the following week when I was in the store looking to buy more pieces, I could not even get a single question answered since I asked someone who (Im assuming would not be making commision $) would not answer 1 question, instead she went all the way to the other end of the store to get "my salesperson". This went on that day, until I was so irritated I just bought and left. WHich I have regretted since. I love the piece I bought, but with times the way they are, Why then would I spend this kind of $ for poor customer service??? I am now in quite a pickle b/c there are pieces I am still looking for, Godwins has, but I refuse to give them my hard earned $ again. On a side note-- I called and asked to speak to owner/manager, was told he was out of town on vaca and they have no idea when he will be back. There are other stores that sell Lazy-Boy furniture that could use my business

Read moreSo very disappointed in the service we received through godwins of Mt Pleasant. After purchasing an adjustable base and 2 mattresses we were told the beds would be to us by the end of the week. After waiting over 2 weeks for them to arrive, and being told another time they would be to us in 2-3 days, we took a Sunday to go to 2 different stores in Saginaw to pick up our purchases. When arriving we discovered the base that was purchased was not the right base. We asked for a discount before driving to Saginaw for the hassle of the repeated excuses for late arrival. We were told there was nothing they could do from the sales person and that I wouldn’t be able to speak to a manager until Monday. The very helpful sales person in Saginaw called a manager to see if she could get us a discount to get a base that was correct. She then brought me the phone to speak to the manager from mt pleasant. I started with Desiree from the beginning of our experience to explain our frustrations, she didn’t apologize or offer or even ask what would help the situation. She then told me multiple times “all I’m getting is the angry side of the story”. I couldn’t believe the attitude I was given when trying to explain my frustration. Read moreBoyfriend and I purchased a recliner and couch I think in late August, paid in full the day we ordered. The recliner was a few weeks late and the couch is just now scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Almost 4 months! What really bothers me though is the lack of care on their part. They never called us for updates, we had to call them. When the couch we have became almost unusable I went to the store and asked them if we could perhaps have the floor model or cancel our order and purchase a couch they had in stock. The answer was a hard "no". I asked the sales lady if she had any other solutions in mind and she just stared at me and said "sorry but we cant sell our floor models, but you our at the top of the list for delivery". The lack of consideration and customer service astounded me. Then we finally get the call that the couch is ready for delivery and they give me a four hour block of time to wait. I asked, is there anyway we can schedule that for a different time as the boyfriend and I are both working. The lady on the phone says "we could do next week sometime." What happened to being at the 'top of the list for delivery'? That is what the sales lady told me when I went into the store trying to find a solution.
