Quite an unassuming little place tucked away at the corner of Alvarado Blvd and Dyer Street that we happily discovered.
Our dinner tonight;
Hubby’s: $13.75+ Italian soda +tax+tip
Spaghetti, meat sauce, 4 veggies (spinach, mushrooms, red bell pepper & sun-dried tomatoes,) and a piece of garlic bread. No picture because hubby had begun devouring it. 😝
Mine: $13.75+3.15+3.15 =$20.05+tax+tip
Linguine, white wine/garlic/butter, 3 veggies (spinach, mushrooms & sun-dried tomatoes.) Added shrimps & small scallops. Also came with a piece of garlic bread. See photo.
We ate in their little shop. Both of us were very pleased with our choices, and surprised how stuffed we were when we were done. (Hubby sacrificed himself to finish my meal 😁)
I don’t know how, but I shall save a little room in my tummy next time for the fruit tart that was already sold out...
Read moreWhile basking under the golden glow of the twin arches I started to ponder on what my 1st and last meal of the day would be. In a final act of desperation to avoid a maybe it's made of a pink paste meat meal I threw my lot in with a rando food near me search. Lo and behold Simply pasta pops up. And it was super close. As I walked in, I was greeted promptly, the lady was very courteous and helpful. My expectations were not high, but WoW, I was pleasantly surprised. My pasta was cooked perfectly. The spinach in my pasta wasn't just an afterthought. The garlic bread was done right. The soup of the day was like a corn chicken Chowder. Something I was shocked to know that I liked. My green apple drink might be my new addiction. Overall this place is a definite 4.7- 4.8. The meatballs in the pasta were so-so. Other than that I...
Read moreVery rare to find a pasta shop around here in the Bay Area because you have to go to a bigger restaurant to order pasta. This place is like the fast food version of Italy. Everything isn’t too fancy but at the same time, well decorated.
I was looking over the menu and you can basically customize your own pasta dish. All comes with garlic bread. Otherwise, you can simply get one of their own specialties, which I got since it’s my first time here. The Shrimp Alfredo is very delicious especially when you add Parmesan cheese. The garlic bread is good even though that its quality is average. It’s fine because I only care about the main dish the most.
Prices are decent as well and it took them 15 minutes to prepare my food, but I think it depends on what...
