Dollar Tree — Local services in Union Township

I travel the country doing reviews on different stores. I do everything from secret shopping to basic reviews. One of my favorite stores to do is DollarTree. I had a horrible experience here with Leslie the manager of store. (Did not know she was manager when first asking her questions). I simply asked about these lids that were on the shelf with no bottom storage container . They were unique with cool pattern on top I could use for a project. The lids were the only things on shelf. I asked if I could just buy lid or if the rest of it was in back but I’d be willing to pay $3.00 full price on just the lid. She said the lids shouldn’t be on shelves so I simply asked why are they out of they aren’t for sale. She started raising her voice so I asked for a manager and she loudly states “I am”. So I just put the lid down walked to the front to finish my purchase. Better to walk away I thought. Two of her employees said to me as I am a regular there that she is mean to them as well. This is when I decided it was needed to go to the top of the chain of command. She proceeded to completely humiliate me tho in front of her employees and customers at the resgister. So the conversation ended at the back of store and she followed me thru the store at a distance which made me feel uncomfortable so I didn’t continue to get the rest of my items I was going to buy which is usually 30 or 40 dollars each time I’m there at register telling the lady who is very nice (Marilyn) that the manager had bad customer service and I would have paid full price to get the lid. Leslie followed right behind me yelling at me what are you trying to get me fired I said no I do not want anyone fired. I know Dollar Tree employee in upper management in Az and I know the way she is acting would get her fired there and I just want good customer service. She said, “Im not even supposed to be working today and I had to come into work.” She said I could not come back to her store. I am holding off on the video I recorded to see if something is done about this situation before I post all of it online. I have been a loyal patron of Dollar Tree since they opened never have I had to do a bad review until today because people should not be treated this way ever. This store has a couple good employees that would do better as a manager. I’m leaving names out at the moment. There are better Dollar Trees in the vicinity but I go to this one once in a while because of past good experience with a couple of their employees. Employees that are way more suited for management. I will wait for a response because one of my two videos shows the ugliness of Leslie attitude then she literally followed right behind me to smoke her cigarette outside front door. I was there today with my daughter. I frequent this location once every two weeks or so. Not sure of her name or if she was new but the cashier who assisted me today was absolutely phenomenal! She has brown hair and I think green eyes, not the best memory here. Anyways, we talked about our dogs, I have two and she has five and they are herder dogs as she lives on a farm. She was the most friendly, welcoming, and respectful employee that I have ever met at ANY dollar tree location. I don’t know her position or wage but she deserves more, nicest employee EVER. You will honestly be surprised what you can find at the Dollar Tree. And keep an open mind, a lot of things can be used for different reasons. They also carry things that are hard to find. For example, my son needed stick on fake mustaches for Halloween and this was the only place we could find them. I know that might sound silly but things like that do come up. I've also purchased little things to go with various gifts...containers, smaller toys, figurines, not to mention gift wrap, tissue paper, gift bags, and cards.
