I use this store religiously. I was very unhappy to find that the fish food I bought was expired and expiration date was 7/2019. It is bought on 8/2023. I noticed something was wrong when first of all there was absolutely no color at all to the goldfish flakes that is normally seen in almost any Fish food. Next I noticed that they would not eat the food. Every time I would feed them they would act hungry until they taste what type of food it is, expired food, and refuse to eat it. Normally I would just call the store and handle it that way but I feel if a company is selling 4 year old fish food, that is un called for. I have had fish for all my life and I have never minded it being a little out of expiration because slightly out of expiration is absolutely fine but 4 years now that is a no no. I spend a lot of money at the store and if I noticed one more thing like this not only will I never buy from the store again but I will let everybody know my findings on the quality of the food for...
Read moreWe bought a female Guinea pig from PetSmart . Wasn’t sure if it’s because of her breed of guinea pig that she was more timid and afraid, and not very social. Or due to how she is being handled. I say this because we had also purchased a Guinea Pig female from Petco and she was very friendly and a social butterfly when we got her. They both took few days to warm up to us due to the change from the move, but our girl from Petco was letting us pick her up and handle her and trusted us more. She seemed like she was handled more and trusted us more. Our little girl from PetSmart was terrified for weeks for us to even pick her up and hold her. Don’t get me wrong she’s an adorable little gal. She just seemed like she wasn’t handled very much or at some point in her life was handled poorly. I still give PetSmart a 4 out of 5 stars because there store was very clean and there employees very nice. The guineas homes also very clean. Thank you for...
Read moreI guess I like the sales. Do not go in expecting to be able to even think about touching a pet before you buy it. You pretty much have to be committed to buying the animal or they won't let you near them. Case in point: I wanted to hold a rat cause I had many rats over the years and I miss them so I wanted to hold one for awhile. The girl said I wasn't allowed if I wasn't going to buy it so, and I quote, 'we can't have them handled all the time and we worry about diseases.' Ok, I get the disease thing, but not really. Rats are super hardy and very rarely ever get anything. I do NOT understand how they shouldn't be handled. They are supposed to be handled to get them used to people. These are not feeder rats. But knowing that they don't handle their pets makes me not want to even shop there. And I probably would've purchased the rat once I held her. Oh well. I'll go...
