Bob Evans — Restaurant in Union Township

We planned a 10 person Thanksgiving here, I spoke to the manager Curtis several times about the 2pm time and he assured me that he would be able to “make that happen” and I quote, i also told him our name,, it was a DISASTER!!! The restaurant was so jammed packed I was blown away… I put my name on the list and waited with the other 50 people.. I found Curtis and spoke to him. He was very short and spoke to me in haste and walked away. Finally we was sat all 10 of us. We got our drinks and spoke briefly to the waitress. She was nice, we put our orders in at 230. I asked her was there anything they were out of?? and she said , we are prepared we have everything. I didn’t see her again until I walked up at 330 and asked where she was ,,and could I have crackers for my 4yr old granddaughter who was crying for food. I talked to another supervisor and my waitress said she didn’t feel good and had hot flashes she was in her 20’s I said ,if you can’t do it who was going to wait on us?? I asked where our order was , she was talking to the cook and he said ,it will be another 35 minutes to get they argued and I said ,didn’t you put my order in? She said ,it got lost and she would put it in again,, I was so upset,, an hour sitting there and she never put our order in, then there was nothing left no biscuits ,no buns, no ham .. I couldn’t believe it. I asked for the manager Curtis,, he came up and basically said you’ll have to get what we have, and it is what it is. How ignorant and rude!! I will NEVER...

We typically go to Bob Evans when we travel with the family because it's consistent and everyone likes it. Never had a bad experience at one .... until this one. Where to start.... How about the service. Despite being half empty, it took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering and another 10 minutes to actually get to order food after that. Oh, and the fountain root beer was watery... that was the start. Our candied bacon appetizer came out ice cold. The loaded baked potato soup was missing the bacon and scallions, hence not loaded. My wife's salad came with blue cheese instead of ranch and it took until after the assistant manager brought out entrees 10 minutes later for us to find someone who cod correct the salad. Speaking of that manager, he delivered my daughter's meal with clearly burnt bacon, which was replaced as we were getting up to pay the bill. What did we receive in exchange for this? Not a damn thing for out troubles. Even when I told the lady at checkout or meal was unsatisfactory - within earshot of the general manager - my response was met with no response. I rarely do ratings online unless I had an exceptionally good experience. This was that bad. And it looks like a recent trend when looking at other ratings. Go elsewhere. Even the manager at my hotel responded how bad it was when I told him not to suggest it. Perkins and Eat N Park are near with...

I've dined in and had no issues, except the potatoes not being cooked enough.. Even with that, I religiously order breakfast every weekend. Between missing food, rock hard biscuits, either over or undercooked potatoes and the fact that it takes literally 20 minutes on hold or calling bank to order food, this business has went downhill majorly.. The manager seems nice but giving a voucher for missing or bad items or service only works so long. I feel like they are way under staffed and 50percent of the staff doesn't care at all.. The veteran workers there are great and are truthfully why I'm giving the 2 stars.. The quality of the food is not consistent. The ordering process is lengthy and annoying honestly being told to please wait a second while they ring another out and being left on hold to the point of ordering somewhere else bc they wouldn't answer after numerous calls. With all that being said, I think as a business they deserve maybe a 1 for effort. The 2stars given is due to the positive attitudes of the ladies that have been there...
