Union Plaza — Local services in Union Township

Oh, this is a long awaited Addition to our local dining experience! Amazing food with terrific prices. The hibachi menu Is every bit as good as Benihana's in my opinion. The sushi is fabulous! I have personally sampled only a small segment of the HUGE menu so far but, I can tell you that what I have sampled so far has been 1st rate!!! The other day I wanted a tuna roll but I felt like having Avacado and cream cheese; so they modified a Philadelphia roll with tuna for me. The sushi is not pre made and then refrigerated, it is made fresh. The filet mignon melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection. Also, I'm not entirely sure what goes into yum yum sauce and for many years I just called it benihana sauce -- All I know is that when you put it on your rice or your Hibachi chicken, shrimp, chicken fried rice or pretty much anything in the world, it makes it taste like heaven! Six big thumbs up for our new Japanese restaurant in Union township -- That's my 2 thumbs, my wife's 2 thumbs and my daughter's 2 thumbs as well. You don't have to bring a lot of money to have an amazing dining experience but you had better bring a huge appetite or be prepared to clear out some space in your refrigerator for the left...

Union plaza was built 20 years ago and was full of much needed stores for our area. Within the last 20 years the only store that remains is Walmart supercenter. All the others have come and gone! Within the last year however the plaza has been occupied by just about every cell phone company possible like Verizon, TMobile,, at&t....it looks like a huge cell phone plaza! The bigger store fronts are still unoccupied and it's sad for our community because we must go out of town to shop when the money should be staying in our city. There are always newspaper articles about potential stores looking to move in the plaza but most of these deals have fallen through for one reason or another. The plaza is a good size, fairly new, in great shape, parking is plentiful with lots of lighting and security cameras for the public's safety. The plaza is kept clean daily and they keep it in...

I'm referring to the PLAZA ONLY, not the stores in it. The condition of the parking lot is on par with Pennsylvania roads, especially matching well with New Castle streets. That is NOT a compliment, either!! As for the parking areas, they are fairly well-thought out, but should have more handicapped-accessible parking spaces, and have them next to the door (not down the aisle because that is a bit stupid... Whoever designed THAT was surely not thinking). If each business repaired its own section of the parking lot, it would get completed far faster than waiting for some magic funding to appear...
